Rachel and Dave, are welcoming hosts with a team who have exceptional customer service and high standards. The breakfast was hot and perfectly cooked. The only toaster I have found in the world that you only have to put the bread through once. Thanks to Sean and the ladies in the bar restaurant in the afternoon/evening. Nothing was too much trouble, your needs and dietary requirements were met. Very helpful with local knowledge and getting around. Set in a beautiful setting with a fast flowing river and wildlife across the road which you can sit and watch as you eat your breakfast. Our sincere thanks to Rachel, Dave and team for an amazing week.

The hairdryer!

Plentiful and tasty breakfast. Spacious room, comfortable bed and chairs, table and desk. Lift and ramp access. Access and parking. Bath with requested bathmat. Places of interest at reasonable distance, Ceide Fields, Foxford & Woollen Mills, Moyne & Rosserk Friarys, Errew Priory, Mullet Peninsula, &c. Room cleaning staff gave special attention.

Leisure Centre lockers not functioning. Ballina Festival week finale event gave rise to road closures throughout the town including both bridges across the River Moy; to cross which we had to make unscheduled detour via nearest bridge at Foxford. This is no-ones fault, all part of the holiday adventure, but it would have been helpful to have had prior notice of it.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the man who helped us find a parking spot when the place became flooded with cars for some event. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is fine if driving.

The room price was by far the highest of any place we stayed in our three week trip in Ireland. We had an emergency situation where we needed one more night in Ballina and while we were appreciative to find anything at all at the last minute, we felt quite price-gouged, paying more for one night than three nights anywhere else we'd been. Also, the parking situation was ridiculous - there was a special event of some sort that flooded the place, making it so that paying guests had nowhere to go. For the price we paid we should have had a reserved parking near the hotel.

Family Friendly Hotel, away from the main road. Fantastic Leisure Centre, big pool, kids pool & jacuzzi - geat kids menu for dinner also (both dinner & breakfast was fab), also noticed a lovely little kids reading library room when we were checking out. And very friendly professional staff pretending they didn't notice our 2 ''energentic'' boys causing a ruckus everywhere we went! Would def return if in the vacinity

Not a thing. If you want a modern hotel then it probably isn't for you but it has charm. Rooms & bathrooms exceptionally clean so decor doesn't come into it for me once their clean!

The staff were lovely.10/10 for them. Bed was comfy , room was big. Bath was big. Very peaceful stay. Old fashioned hotel but lovely and clean. Nice Guinness and food. ( Good value for money) .Hotel was full but the silence was golden. Not over priced like many Irish hotels these days.

Bit of a long driveway to walk into town if it is raining but they have a list of local taxi numbers available for booking which we found very competent.

We were put in the Master Suite. Lovely big room. We didn't need a room that size but it was very comfortable.

This is an old hotel, needs a little TLC and a bit of upgrading. The staff were brilliant. The night porter was really obliging and friendly. So too were those on reception. We were only there for one night. Great location. The pot holes in the car park could do with filling in.

Lovely room and facilities. Comfortable bed and the furnishings were very nice and understated in the room. Bathroom was spacious and had separate bath & shower. Good service at breakfast.

The corridors to the room felt a bit dark and musty in contrast to the lovely room. Breakfast had nice hot food but had room for better options in the baked goods category.

The welcome and staff friendliness and helpfulness was excellent . The breakfast was copious and always well stocked up . Nice choice of fruit and healthier options but also a full Irish for those who want it .The breakfast room is very pleasant .

A little more attention to details and what could be called frills in the rooms would be nice . Tissues , shower caps and maybe a biscuit ? Although we recognise these are difficult times and the hotel is good value .

We had a wonderful stay at this family owned hotel. Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The staff and owners were all so friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was spotlessly clean and during our week long break , our room was cleaned to a top standard every day .Breakfast was exceptional and food is the restaurant was top class and reasonably priced.

That we didn't book a longer stay .

Very friendly and accommodating staff., The hotel is in a beautiful location yet walking distance to the town. Food is excellent- we ate in the bar on one night and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Breakfast is also very good and I loved the small jars of fruit, yogurt …etc The rooms are clean and airy ( lovely big windows to open !) Facilities were perfect for our needs and we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Excellent value for money too!
