Good location close to the convention centre, its also handy when getting the Dublin Express 784 in as the bus stops right outside the hotel.

The door to the room is hollow but also connected to a fire safety latch so they slam shut on their own. This means that no only do you get a lot of corridor noise coming through the door, but you also get to hear slamming doors throughout the night. (we literally had to put up with someone going between rooms every 30 minutes from 11pm till 4am). Rooms are turned over from 7am, so if you don't put a do not disturb sign or put the bolt on your door you will have someone walk in on you.

Staff are lovely and go above and beyond. We arrived early and were delighted to hear our room was ready early. Shortly after arrival staff brought a birthday dessert for my partner which was a lovely gesture. Hotel decor and vibe is so nice for relaxing. I was also impressed with the gym, one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen.

Main road is very noisy, it sounded like there was a window open. Thankfully I had ear plugs, otherwise I wouldn’t have slept. Breakfast wasn’t worth 17euro. The staff were helpful and offered me a refund as I decided not to eat once seeing the options. The eggs looked awful and it wasn’t explained that there were other choices such as boiled/poached. Robes would be nice for going down to the spa/pool area

My friend and I arrived at the hotel at 11am due to our flight times. We asked to leave our bags at the hotel while we explored the city and to our surprise the lady at the desk gave us our room. This was one of the highlights and very appreciated as check in time is usually 4pm and it was great to have a room this early. We were then able to use the spa early. The hotel is in a great location - a very quiet area on the weekends as it’s the business district, but only a short 15 min walk to the centre of Dublin where the shops are. Also only a 10 min walk to Connolly station.

We didn’t get provided with robes or slippers in our room for the spa so we had to ring to get these. Although they brought them straight away.

Great location - the Dublin Airport Express is literally across the street (drop off) and a block away (pick up); it's the second stop. The red line tram is behind the hotel and will take you to Heuston train station (points south), and less than 10 min walk to the train at Connolly station (points north). You can never get lost because the hotel is right on the river! Room was nicer than some Marriott's I stay in for business travel in the States! Espresso maching with daily biscuit and bottled water refreshed. Very modern, and comfortable bed and linens, very clean. Large flat screen tv and plenty of mirrors. Nice toiletries from Rituals. I did not take a room with river view or balcony, and it was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful in storing my bag upon arrival and check out, and booking me a taxi for dinner out. I did not eat at the hotel- there are a few coffee options on the plaza next to the hotel, if you want to save money on breakfast - but I did have a drink and the bartenders were friendly.

The location is not in the central hub of Dublin but a nice walk along the river. Also accessible by tram, but I'm not certain that would save any time.

The facilities were great and the room exceeded my expectation. A lot of places take photos with a wide lens to make it look more spacious, but our room really was very spacious and comfortable. Especially after coming from London where the reverse was true. We did not initially book the rooms with the hotel breakfast however we did change our mind on site and it was fantastic, they provide a delicious buffet style breakfast and also offer special orders such as fried eggs or waffles at no additional cost, simply just ask a server. On our last evening I ventured down to the gym and was pleasantly surprised how very good the gym facility was. Very well stocked on gym equipment! Suffice to say, a repeat at The Spencer Hotel next time I'm in Dublin is a high likelihood!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and updated. Loved having room service come and give us clean towels and new coffee and cookies daily. Restaurant says you have to book in advance and we did not do this and still were able to eat there. Restaurant was delicious. Great views and close to restaurants and coffee shops.

Elevators didn’t work super well- not a big deal although we were on 7th floor. Shower tiles were falling apart a bit. A bit of a walk to city center area but not too terrible. A bit pricey but worth it for the comfort.

After a very long journey on the ferry from the uk myself and my young daughter arrived past midnight. A lovely welcome for us. I enquired where I could park and was told I could park in a space outside the hotel at no extra charge. Our room was stunning, we both were really tired and got off to sleep really quickly, we slept so well that we woke up late and hurried downstairs to check out. I apologised for being late and was told that they were glad we had slept so well and it was no problem for them.. wow. It’s so near the port and the centre. It’s the ideal location for transit. Thanks again for being so accommodating.

The staff was extremely professional, courteous and accommodating. They allowed us a very early check in which was much appreciated after a long red-eye flight. The room was quiet and spacious with a large bathroom and controllable AC. The location was also good. Easy access to the Luas for the city center and next to the Dublin express bus that we took to the airport. Away from the noise of O'Connell street and Temple Bar area but close enough to walk (25 mins) or take the tram.

Our view wasn't the greatest looking at a wall and small courtyard.

Great hotel, very nice rooms and comfy beds 👍 great nights sleep. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, had a great cocktail bar downstairs which staff was also very attentive. Restaurant looked lovely but didn’t get to try as wasn’t there long enough. Everything was thought off to make your stay as good as it can. Great experience at this hotel and would recommend.

The only thing that we didn’t like which is very minor is we did plan on using the swimming pool but on leaflet upon arrival it mentioned that you must wear a swimming hat, of which me and my partner didn’t want to wear so chose not to use the pool. We respect the rules but not something we are use to. Didn’t affect our experience at the hotel.
