Good location close to the convention centre, its also handy when getting the Dublin Express 784 in as the bus stops right outside the hotel.
The door to the room is hollow but also connected to a fire safety latch so they slam shut on their own. This means that no only do you get a lot of corridor noise coming through the door, but you also get to hear slamming doors throughout the night. (we literally had to put up with someone going between rooms every 30 minutes from 11pm till 4am). Rooms are turned over from 7am, so if you don't put a do not disturb sign or put the bolt on your door you will have someone walk in on you.

Staff are lovely and go above and beyond. We arrived early and were delighted to hear our room was ready early. Shortly after arrival staff brought a birthday dessert for my partner which was a lovely gesture. Hotel decor and vibe is so nice for relaxing. I was also impressed with the gym, one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen.
Main road is very noisy, it sounded like there was a window open. Thankfully I had ear plugs, otherwise I wouldn’t have slept. Breakfast wasn’t worth 17euro. The staff were helpful and offered me a refund as I decided not to eat once seeing the options. The eggs looked awful and it wasn’t explained that there were other choices such as boiled/poached. Robes would be nice for going down to the spa/pool area

Great location - the Dublin Airport Express is literally across the street (drop off) and a block away (pick up); it's the second stop. The red line tram is behind the hotel and will take you to Heuston train station (points south), and less than 10 min walk to the train at Connolly station (points north). You can never get lost because the hotel is right on the river! Room was nicer than some Marriott's I stay in for business travel in the States! Espresso maching with daily biscuit and bottled water refreshed. Very modern, and comfortable bed and linens, very clean. Large flat screen tv and plenty of mirrors. Nice toiletries from Rituals. I did not take a room with river view or balcony, and it was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful in storing my bag upon arrival and check out, and booking me a taxi for dinner out. I did not eat at the hotel- there are a few coffee options on the plaza next to the hotel, if you want to save money on breakfast - but I did have a drink and the bartenders were friendly.
The location is not in the central hub of Dublin but a nice walk along the river. Also accessible by tram, but I'm not certain that would save any time.

The facilities were great and the room exceeded my expectation. A lot of places take photos with a wide lens to make it look more spacious, but our room really was very spacious and comfortable. Especially after coming from London where the reverse was true. We did not initially book the rooms with the hotel breakfast however we did change our mind on site and it was fantastic, they provide a delicious buffet style breakfast and also offer special orders such as fried eggs or waffles at no additional cost, simply just ask a server. On our last evening I ventured down to the gym and was pleasantly surprised how very good the gym facility was. Very well stocked on gym equipment! Suffice to say, a repeat at The Spencer Hotel next time I'm in Dublin is a high likelihood!

Great hotel, very nice rooms and comfy beds 👍 great nights sleep. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, had a great cocktail bar downstairs which staff was also very attentive. Restaurant looked lovely but didn’t get to try as wasn’t there long enough. Everything was thought off to make your stay as good as it can. Great experience at this hotel and would recommend.
The only thing that we didn’t like which is very minor is we did plan on using the swimming pool but on leaflet upon arrival it mentioned that you must wear a swimming hat, of which me and my partner didn’t want to wear so chose not to use the pool. We respect the rules but not something we are use to. Didn’t affect our experience at the hotel.

Good location, very clean rooms, good breakfast offering, great gym. Hotel is right beside a Luas stop so you can be in the centre of Dublin in a few minutes. One of my preferred hotels for when staying in Dublin and I would (and do) recommend it to others. Had a lovely welcome by reception staff on my arrival.
There’s no smoking area so smokers have to go outside and stand in the rain. Wi-Fi signal was very poor all of the five nights I stayed. I found some of the staff quite cold, which I was a little disappointed by but they were the exception rather than the rule.

Excellent location for the 3 arena, convention center or bord gais theater
Dublin hotel prices in general are too expensive, but this was the best value we could find at the desired location with good ratings

Very spacious and modern room. Large and comfortable bed. Very good breakfast, also good price for the quality. Beautiful bar and good cocktails. We loved it here.
1)We were obliged to buy a swim cap at 3.- each… and counted 10 people in the pool who were not wearing them. A farce! And honestly… a swim cap? Most of us were not really swimming seriously, so the hair was never in the water. 2) Chaotic service at breakfast. Staff at breakfast forgot our eggs as well as our tea 3 times of 4. A bit frustrating that we always had to ask a second time….

Brilliant hotel, rooms are lovely and big. We had a balcony looking at the river which was nice. Short walk to central o’Connell st and just over the river to temple bar/grafting at. Bus stop from the airport right outside (€8 one way) and taxi (£30-35 depending on traffic) luis (tram) at the back of the hotel just on the new sq which will take you into town. Bar is lovely chilled vibe, cocktails around €11-15 and bottle of wine €34 (we had rose). Staff are excellent, we had some noise due to building work to the back of the hotel (one family member on that side)they couldn’t offer another room on the same level however offered us another floor and complementary breakfast which was a nice touch. Hotel offers storage for cases also. They had our room ready also when we arrived at 10am, we didn’t expect this and it was nice to refresh and head straight out.
Just the building work to the back. However this is not something the hotel can control and this didn’t spoil our stay just a observation. Also just a tip - if you want breakfast book the day before (€13 on the day it is €17)
