The breakfast was freshly cooked. There was plenty of choice. when another guest asked for their eggs to be scrambled this was done straight away. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was always a good selection of hot and cold drinks

I had a meal in the evening. I was asked if I had any allergies, when I explained that I couldn't eat shell fish. I was told that I should not have anything fried including chips because they could not tell me what had been cooked in the fryer. there was a limited choice of meals. When the meal arrived it was not nice. chicken has been over cooked and dry. The rice was undercooked in my opinion. On my first night, I explained to the front of desk that there was a screw half screwed into a socket and this was dangerous. I was told that this would be rectified straight away. This was not done, I pointed tis out when leaving.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely brilliant. Really friendly and helpful. The breakfast lady was lovely and really made us feel welcome. Reception staff were very welcoming and the staff in the bar were also very friendly. We spoke to the lady a couple of times that works in the bar area and she was so helpful and kind. The rooms are very clean and fully equipped and I really appreciated the kettle, tea and coffee in the room! We had early starts so we were very grateful to the reception staff for arranging taxis for us. Thank you for a lovely stay.

nothing really. The food was a little expensive and a lot missing from the menu but this was completely understandable as it was explained deliveries had been difficult that week. There was still plenty to choose from. The hot water konked out but the staff sorted it really quickly with no fuss.

Initially placed in a great room, except some guys were having a get together in the room next to me. I needed to sleep and that was the only reason I politely asked if there was a different room available. Within 10 minutes I was upgraded to a beautiful suite, which was silent. Staff were understanding, friendly and professional. I would definitely stay again. Lots on the menu but a little pricey. Food came to my room promptly and was fresh, a good size and tasty.. Caesar Salad with salmon and fries.

No instructions for heating/cooling system, BUT the duvet was so thick and warm. Lifts felt a little dodgy.

Georgia and Jamie (both reception staff) went completely above and beyond for myself and my partner who has cancer! They were incredible, so much so that we left a tip for each of them! The service they both provided was incredible and because of this, we will 100% stay for the third time when we come back to Manchester!! Amazing facilities and a beautiful room too! Couldn’t ask for better x

It would have been nice to have had smart tv’s where we could sign into our own Netflix etc as we were there for three days! Other than that, it was amazing!!

Almost everything about our stay was excellent, the breakfast was hot, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Nice comfortable, clean and newly refurbished room.

The only thing that really could have been better, were the lovely black out curtains, which hung just too far away from the wall. All night the outside lights framed the curtains and light came through the centre, too. Might as well have left the room lights on all night.

The room was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located to transport links.

The daily cleaning service was not up to standard and could improve. No shower facilities were available in my room. Slow response to fix the hot water issue. The boiler was down for approximately 24 hours. The hotel restaurant is overpriced. The location of the hotel is on a very busy road.

Lovely polite and helpful young lad on the Reception when we checked in and out. The lady with the blonde hair who greets you on arrival in the breakfast dining area is lovely. Very hardworking and it shows she takes pride in her job. This is our 3rd one night stay since Christmas Day. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you.

I got married on the 28/10/2020 Claire was my wedding organiser and she couldn't so any more then she did for us on my wedding day I was well looked after by Jamie and Louis they was amazing the did everything possible to make our day more special and memorable and made us feel so welcome and helped my dad who has disabilities thwy was perfect I have definitely recommend you all to my friends and family

There was nothing at all I didn't like if I could I would get married everyday at smokies xx

Room and facilities were very good, especially the bathroom. I was impressed by how exceptionally clean my room and facilities were. Waitress at breakfast did a sterling job. Receptionists very pleasant and professional.

The reception on the TV was mediocre and the TV seemed to lack HD facility. I was disappointed in the standard of the breakfast (extra £12-00 additional to room charge)- overcooked bacon, undercooked eggs, toaster only toasted one side of bread, hot water machine for tea and coffee out of action. However I was impressed by the lady waitress - despite being 'run off her feet' she did a sterling job to bring our food to table and keep everyone happy, top lady!

Room was clean and facilities good. Beds comfortable. Breakfast good with a good variety of cereals, pastries, fruit as well as cooked items. The restaurant also provided a good selection of choices as reasonable prices if you wanted to eat in. I had the fish and chips and the portion size was really big.

Only negative really was a wedding reception a couple of doors away from out room and was noisy for a short time as oeople went up and fown the ramp outside the door.
