We have a standard room with a very comfortable bed and a surprising amount of space for Tokyo. From the 10th floor, we had a fascinating view of the Tokyo Station below, it look like a model Railway set from the 10th floor. The sound installation was adequate so the noise from the railway did not disturb our sleep. All in all, it was an extremely comfortable stay and it’s proximity to the Tokyo station, made it very easy to get around.

Amazing location and truly traditionally named hotel! The staff is makes you feel the true Japanese hospitality! The facilities are a little old however it is managed in pristine condition!! The cleaning is perfect and the room size is roomier than other business level hotels Also they are currently going under renovation so I can expect that the rooms will be very much upgraded:) One important info is, even though they are going through renovation I haven’t seen any sign of construction going on, which was great. No worries on staying there! Will definitely visit here again.

My son and I stayed here for our last two nights in Japan, after having stayed at Shinjuku Station for a week, then kyoto, Osaka and Hakone. What we liked about the the Marunouchi hotel - Location right in Tokyo station, you don't have to come above ground to access the hotel, in Shinjuku we did have to walk above above ground - this mattered as it was extremely hot outside and we enjoyed the air conditioned corridors underground for Marunouchi. There are lots of shopping/restaurants at both locations -my son enjoyed Character street at Tokyo station and there were better restaurants and shops at Tokyo station. you can't go wrong staying at either station. We liked the size of the hotel room, very comfortable beds/pillows. the view from the room was just okay, we could see our courtyard, but no city view. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly! We both agree that we preferred the JK Blossom hotel in Shinjuku value for money, as well as location, over the Marunouchi at Tokyo station - for- room size, modern, shower/bath and the breakfast was delicious, and felt we had better access to sites we wanted to see from Shinjuku station.
The bathroom was tiny compared to our shinjuku hotel and it had no auto flush on the toilet. There was also no separate bath/shower.

The Marunouchi Hotel is everything I want in a hotel. The location is of course amazing with Tokyo Station next door. However, I can safely say that I would have loved to spend many more nights here than just the one. The reception staff is very welcoming and attentive, their english was very good which we appreciated a lot. Our room was furnished to a really nice standard, with a comfy bed and great amenities. Everything was spotless and wonderfully clean. Our room overlooked Tokyo Station so we had a nice time watching the trains come and go while having a coffee in the morning. Finally, the hotel had organised a special sake to be handed out for New Years Day. I can't wait to book this hotel again, and also try the restaurants there.
I cannot complain about this personally as I found it quite relaxing to hear - but I think it is good to mention that the trains can be heard ever so slightly in some of the rooms at the hotel (station facing side).

Wonderful hotel, location and staff!! You can reach this hotel via an underground passageway from Tokyo Station, so there's no need to go outside if the weather is bad and you have luggage. The attached mall has restaurants, a convenience store and shopping for books, etc. Easy access to the Narita Express airport train as well as the Shinkansen going in all directions. Rooms on the east side overlook the train tracks from above so you can watch the clean, efficient and quiet trains coming and going. To the south, the historic Tokyo Station Hotel is visible from windows in corner rooms.
The delicious buffet breakfast is quite expensive, although not out of line with similar hotels.

The location and the views from the south side were outstanding. The hotel overlooks the busy Tokyo rail station that is fascinating to see. It is a short walk from the northwest exit to an elevator that takes you up to the lobby on 7. The elevator also goes down to the subway level where there are shops, food, and a large convenience store. The location is excellent if you plan on taking many day trips by train. The place was immaculate and the staff were very helpful.
It seems to be more of a business hotel and the rates may be higher during high business season. We were there the Friday after Thanksgiving.

We had a corner room with a wonderful view of the historic Tokyo Station building and the bullet trains coming in and out of the train yards. Beds were comfy, not always guaranteed in Japan. Room was a good size but we upgraded to a larger room. The hotel does show minor signs of wear and tear, but they are about to embark on a renovation.
Not a complaint but the entrance to the hotel is a bit hard to find. Look for the building marked Oazo which is a kind of a multistory mall. The hotel entrance is inside to the right. You take an elevator to the lobby on a higher floor. There is a coffee shop on the ground floor and other restaurants upstairs.

Locationwise, it was convenient to go and back to any place you wanted to go. Can do shopping and eat out too. What I like best is that we landed so early in the morning and it was a long wait before we can check in and be in our room in the hotel but the staff was so accomodating and let us check in and be in our room several hours before the official check in time since the room was available already. We appreciate it a lot since we have a kid travelling with us. :-)
A room that has 2 beds will be more comfortable for us traveller with a kid. I find the size of the bed not quite big enough.

Loved the extra convenient location right across from Tokyo Station. Access to hotel via the underground passage from the train station, so even if it rains or the weather is unpleasant outside you're good to go. Note that the room size is bigger than most in Tokyo. Everything felt posh and premium. The hotel provided my son with yukata for pjs and cute kids toiletries, that was a lovely touch despite being a very business-oriented hotel. Kudos to the cleaning staff and supervisor, the cleanliness is top-notch.
Certain staff acted a little too snobbish and stuffy. I was traveling with my son and best friend and did not fit in their target market/ guest criteria, but I was a paying customer nevertheless. Easy with your head (and chin) above the clouds, you're in the service business.
