Breakfast is awesome. Continental with several options: from fried to healthy. Staff is amazingly kind and very polite and don't keep anything missing in the buffett. Highlight goes for the omelete a cheff can make out of fresh ingredients of your chosing. Another highlight is the fact that you can sit and ask for fresh eggs, omelete, bacon, sausages just for those that don't want what's on the buffet. Several options of coffee, machine, freshly brewed or even instant. The same goes for juices and teas available. The hotel is not in the heart of the city, which for me was great since all I got was a quiet room and no people screaming at night on the street, but that doesn't mean you're not in a good spot. You're 2 blocks away from train station - if you come from Amsterdam, you just have to buy train tickets in the airport itself, then go down the stairs, take the train to Utrecht, go out of the station, take the stairs down to street level, walk one block towards the street and you're right in the hotel. You're surrounded by good restaurants and places to have a nice cheap meal. You're like 4, 5 blocks away from the canals, and beware, despite the sun going down after 10pm in June, is hard to find a good place to eat, don't be fooled by the sun. There's a huge mall near the central station (opposite side of the hotel). By June 2022, DOM Church would only open until 2pm so no touring after that. St. Jacob's Church is a good option if you want to visit a church full of history inside each column or even in the floor, since it's a functioning Church that was inaugurated before Reformation, which means a beautiful architecture and lots of reading. All the way the canals you'll find free wifi, no password needed if you get lost. If you do get lost, don't worry everyone speaks in English and is very helpful. For buying groceries, water, beer, etc. look out for Albert Heijn's stores.

After covid, there's an empty minibar, no complimentary water and nothing besides some teas and 4 instant coffees. If you're not Dutch like me, you wouldn't know how EXPENSIVE the mini-market in the front desk is and you may end up buying 3 euros for a bottle of water that will cost less than 0.5 euro two blocks ahead, but if your thirsty after 20 hours tripping, you'd probably pay. WiFi is slow, as they want you to buy the Premium option, but it's bearable for working, but not that good for streaming. BTW, old flat-screen tv in the room is not smart, if you want the smart one you have to pay and upgrade your room.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this NH hotel, and it definitely lived up to the brand's reputation for superb quality. The standout feature, as always, was the incredible breakfast - a great start to each day, and of course the modern rooms and overall high quality. One unique aspect of NH hotels that added a special touch to my experience was the "guest of the day" incentive. Fortunately, I was randomly selected as the lucky guest of the day during my stay - this was for me the very first time at NH. I got chocolate, a room upgrade, free breakfast, premium wifi, etc. This unexpected perk added an extra layer of enjoyment to my time there. Thank you so much again for the amazing time and also for the super friendly staff.

They left some chocolates with a hand-written welcoming letter on the table. They think about all the needs of a traveler: multiple and easy-access charging ports and electrical connections, stands for your belongings in the shower (despite they provide liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner), lights in the closets, light switches that control all the lights in the room (so you don't have to stand up at different parts of the room to access them), and other little details that make your stay comfortable outside and inside the rooms

The water hotter for tea had some moisture inside, probably because people don't dry it after using it. I didn't report it because finally, I didn't use it, but I'm sure the service would have been happy to give me another one ASAP

Very centrally located hotel in the immediate vicinity of Utrecht Central. Friendly, welcoming staff and nicely designed, spacious rooms with all the necessary amenities. It's an NH hotel, so don't expect any extras. The hotel offers an ample breakfast, which was a reason for me to choose this hotel. I can only recommend a stay at this hotel, especially if you are travelling on business.

Overeager staff might try to carry your breakfast away when you are getting up to grab another drink, even if your belongings are still at the table.

Massive space. Large bed (singles pushed together, but there was so much space). Plenty of mirrors. Great bathroom (except needs a better water drainage system, we made a few pools). Location is great for access to Utrecht, train station, shops, food. And you’re only half an hour train to Amsterdam - costs about €18.50.

Lighting wasn’t great, maybe brighter bathroom lights to do your makeup. We were emailed prior to choose either daily cleans or a free drink. We didn’t need the cleaning, however we never received our free drink. We also prepaid for this stay and were then made to pay city taxes upon arrival! The tv didn’t work so had to get staff to fix (who then left it wonky).

The room was appropriate. I liked the different lightening and overall set up. The bathroom was fine including the provision of toiletries.

Somewhat I was disapointed with the 'softness of the towels'. Possibly am spoiled from other places. I found it irritating that when arriving that the reception (admittedly a trainee) was not very professional and unsure about the "TAX' I was apparently supporsed to pay. It was later refunded. On checking out the person again was confused what the system showed and required me again to pay some tax. It has been refunded at this point again.

The hotel is located next to the train station, at a walkable distance from the city center. It is an ideal location not only for visiting the main landmarks from Utrecht, but also to visit other main cities from the Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Hague (aprox 30-35 minutes by train). The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast consisted of a variety of food you could choose from. The hotel staff was very friendly and open to our needs.

The hotel key cards demagnetized very easy, so they needed to be reset several times by the hotel staff.

We received helpful information from the front desk upon arrival where to park our car, since parking can be a challenge in Utrecht. The location of the hotel just across from the trainstation makes it very well situated. Our room was very big with a nice view. There was a room temperature setting that you could easily ajust. Everything was very clean and it was possible to make a cup of coffee or tea in the room, which we enjoy very much, when it is available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At one point we had misplaced our access card to our room, but quikly made us another card. We travelled with our dog, for which you pay a small fee. We were allowed to have our breakfast with our dog in an area outside the breakfast room. An overall nice experience.

Accessing the hotel by car was somewhat demanding. Not the fault of the hotel, but of the planning of the roads in this area. I am pretty sure I made at least 3 traffic violations trying to access the carpark close to the hotel for dropping off/picking up our luggage.

Big, spacious and clean room with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Plenty of room for luggage and storage. The climate control system also worked very well. A super short walk to the station, and frequent trains can get you to Amsterdam in about 30 minutes, which made it a viable option for us to stay in Utrecht and travel every day with a nicer hotel, rather than pay more for a worse place in central Amsterdam.

The WiFi is unusable and way too slow for absolutely anything, which really shouldn't be the case in this day and age.

Enjoyed the in room Nespresso. I chose the room option that included daily breakfast and was very satisfied every morning. The staff will prepare cooked-to-order eggs upon request. A multi-option coffee machine is in the breakfast dining area and included in the daily buffet price (coffee, cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate, or even hot milk). The elevators require a room key to access guest floors. The room numbers are easy to locate--the best!
