Location and the room was comfortable. Washer and dryer included and great for convenience.

Limited seating beside sitting on the beds. Mattress was not plush enough as expected for a hotel. Loose power point. Washer did not work properly but we were able to change rooms. I do note that it would be good if previous guests could let the hotel know about issues they notice. The cafe’s hours fluctuated and barristers could have done better. We order lattes and got cappuccino which were barely warm. The next day my latte was mostly frothed milk. The following day the lattes were milky and too sweet. We decided to get our coffee elsewhere.

The room was huge and very well located near Christchurch's Botanic Garden. Well, maybe not as close as we thought but we will get to that.

We had some issue in reception, who assured us that the Botanic Garden was five minutes away on foot. It was more like 15 minutes (there is a five-minute walk to a park, but the real gardens are further away). We ended up walking 7,000 steps back and forth, wishing we went by car. It might be done in 5 minutes, no wonder why New Zealand did so well at the Olympics. So if this is my biggest complain, you can understand the stay went well. And that I am a bit lazy, too, which I am.

Good location close to centre of town - easy to walk/short drive to Botanic gardn, Riverside cafes, restuarants. Public car park ( free from 6 pm to 9 am next day) right in front of hotel. Nice room - clean and comfortable. We came back to same hotel on a repeat visit when we had an extra night in Christchurch at end of our trip.

Would have appreciated a microwave, although it is not a motel. Car park at NZD 20 expensive - was not aware we could park on roadside for free after 6 pm - staff told us only after we asked. Since we were out most of the day before 6 pm, we ncould have just park on road in front of hotel,without paying the NZD 20.

The place is clean. Theres the cafe upon entrance which is good if you want to just chilled with light meal and coffee/tea. The location is superb too as its just walking distance to go anywhere.

The staff at front desk mostly are not friendly nor helpful when we asked few questions. We even heard your front desk staff gossiping about customer that was before us mentioning their race. Was quite disappointed as review in booking.com was great but when I looked at google review, mostly mentioned the same on the front desk staff. The cleaning staff are great and friendly.

Staff not very engaging or friendly. Not rude…just indifferent.

A lovely clean, modern hotel in an excellent, quiet, and safe location. Very close to the inner city. I loved how easy it was to walk to shops and the Riverside Market is less than 10 minutes by foot (an amazing place to buy food). The staff were friendly, and I appreciated being able to leave my suitcase there for the day once I had checked out.

The breakfast wasn't great (not a lot of selection, average coffee, very basic for the price) but having access to the cafe was good so instead of paying for the buffet breakfast the next morning, I was able to buy a coffee and a muffin which was much better. There are cafes and restaurants close by for more food options.

Location was perfect. Beautiful, comfy and clean rooms. Everything we could possibly need was supplied. Being able to order room service was a bonus!

Front reception staff weren’t overly friendly, polite sure, but not the warm welcome you’d expect at such a nice hotel. Check out was the same, no query even on whether we enjoyed our stay. Being first point of contact for guests, we expected more.

Very well located just a strong throw from Victoria Park and The tram. The bed will comfortable and we enjoyed our day. The staff were friendly and we left our bags with them about five hours before heading for our flight. Just up on the next block are some restaurants we went to the Japanese which was very nice although it is Almost set menu- You need to order five dishes per person.

In the breakfast area there were not enough seats. There were quite a number of stools but even more seating is needed.

The lady at the reception was dismissive when we arrived to check in, I let her know I needed to hurry as we had to return a hire car by 5pm. All I wanted was to ask her was if we could store our bags so we could sort the car out as we had a cracked windscreen that would need paperwork done and we were runningout of tome waiting. I was very stressed about the situation but she totally ignored me, she was simply waiting for another guest to come back Also, the same lady had no idea about local knowledge we asked which direction the nearest tram station was but she was unsure. We overheard her having similar conversations with guests, clueless about any local details

The purpose of my stay was for a night of respite to break up my long travel. Was very nice and private with great amenities. Everything I needed was provided. The interaction with the staff was pleasant and they were very accommodating.

Understandably cannot be helped as I was resting throughout the day, but if I was to be critical. The cleaning staff were very loud with chatter down the halls while they were working. If they had moderated the volume of their chat my rest wouldn't have be disturbed.
