Everything! The hospitality and service were the best I’ve known. It was a home from home. The breakfast was fantastic, the room, and personal touches. The owners and staff have thought of everything. We had accumulated some washing on our travels and they had lovely clean washing machine and tumble dryer we could use free of charge. A piano, lounge area, books, games. Very close to the lake - just a ten minute walk there and just because it’s already mentioned previously…. a short hill and steps back up which really isn’t that bad! Take it slow… my husband and I are old and it wasn’t an issue! He marched up. If you’re disabled then take a cheap Uber for a few quid. Nothing but praise from us! I loved the wine and canopes! Thank you. 😁

Everything was great!

It was over clean with the usual facilities we have come to expect in motels and B&B in New Zealand. Amazing views over the lake from the breakfast room and a very good breakfast too with very pleasant staff.

The property is on several levels so there are various stairs so can be awkward moving around suitcases. To get to the town centre is only around 10 to 15 minutes but there is a steep incline to get down and back. Of course plus some steps. Not ideal, if anyone has walking difficulty. The room was very tastily decorated and absolutely spotless, but what I would do is remove the foot rest at the bottom of the bed as far better to leave space for people to get through and also provide space for suitcases as in the room we had, there was no storage space for such items.

Our apartment was fantastic. It contained everything you could want and need and the beds were so comfortable. It was toasty warm, the fireplace was lovely and the view was breathtaking. It’s a short walk to the village - albeit a bit of a climb back up but 3 mins tops walk up the hill…. It’s worth it! Conveniently close to everything. The breakfast was excellent and Denise, who waited on us, was delightful and my fussy teenage son was catered for brilliantly. This place is a gem.

Simply can’t fault a thing…. We will be back.

Queenstown House B&B was a wonderful place to stay! Maryanne was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived and throughout our stay Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the lake and Queenstown We couldn’t fault anything about the accommodation it was warm quite very clean with a comfortable bed and little extra’s like bath robe and slippers Great to have a car parking space and so close to the shops restaurants and etc we could just walk everywhere Would definitely recommend staying here Anne

The hosts Sam, Paul and Marianne couldn't have been lovelier and really made us feel at home. The room was really comfortable with a nice big heater that definitely came in handy during those cold winter nights. The bathroom was spacious with all the amenities. The breakfast was delicious and really filling. For the days we had an early start, we were offered a very generous packed breakfast which was perfect on the go and with plenty of food to last us the whole morning of skiing and an afternoon snack. It was such a perfect trip and we can't wait to be back.

The sound proofing of the room could be a bit better. I was woken up by street / adjacent room noise but I'm a really light sleeper too. My husband was fine.

Great staff made us fell at home! Marianne, Sam and Paul were always helpful and happy to attend our enquiries. The room size was enough to accommodate our luggage (including the snowboard one). The bed and shower were great! The breakfast was deliciously cooked, and we even got a picnic bag with fruits, juice, muffins and muesli bars when we had to sadly miss the breakfast time to go somewhere very early. The location is good too. Very close to the shops, restaurants, travel agencies, Kiwi Park and Skyline Gondola.

The only thing I would improve is to ensure all customers staying on the second level are aware of the noise during sleeping time (10pm to 7am). Some of them made a bit of noise while washing/drying their clothes, or when arriving or departing their rooms.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in the Villa with Lake View at this bed and breakfast, and I must say it was an absolutely spectacular experience. I arrived late, well past 9 pm, and was greeted with a warm and cozy room. It was a perfect welcome after a long journey. The room was not only comfortable but also spacious, and the highlight for me was the bathroom, which had a lovely bathtub. It was a great touch for those relaxing soak sessions after a day of exploring. The breakfast provided was nothing short of delightful. There was a wide variety of options to choose from, and I was particularly impressed by how accommodating they were to my allergy needs. It's always a relief when a place takes such good care of their guests. The staff at this B&B were a highlight of my stay. They were incredibly lovely, kind, and helpful throughout my visit. The reception provided excellent recommendations for things to do in the area, which made my stay even more enjoyable. But what truly sets this place apart is the view. It's not just a view; it's an experience in itself. The breathtaking vistas of the lake were the icing on the cake and made my stay truly exceptional. I couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and take in the natural beauty. In summary, my stay at this bed and breakfast was memorable for all the right reasons. If you're looking for a cozy, well-serviced place with stunning views and a helpful staff, this is the place to be. Just be prepared for a bit of a workout to reach it!

Now, a word of caution for potential guests who may have mobility issues. The B&B is within walking distance of the town center, but it's important to note that it's a bit of a climb. The property is situated up a hill and involves quite a few stairs to reach, and the room I stayed in also had its fair share of stairs. However, if you're physically able and don't mind a bit of exercise, the effort is well worth it.

Breakfast was excellent. There was a small buffet of bread, cereal and juice items and also a menu of egg and other dishes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Marianne, Sam and Paul gave us great advice about restaurants, bungee jumping and boat tours and booked a trip to Doubtful Sound for us. They were very accessible. We used the laundry very easily. We also enjoyed the wine and canapés hour and enjoyed meeting the other guests. Our room was nicely decorated and had a fabulous view out to the water. It was the perfect ending to our trip.

Was a bit on the expensive side, but every in Queenstown seemed to be expensive.

Everything! Staff, room setup, comfort, free laundry, cleanliness, views, wine & canapés 3x a week, best made to order breakfast quality & selection ever had (all local farm to table). Mgr MaryAnn is so on top of things, full of information, good humor, & sincerity. She really looked after the guests.

Location was “up the hill” a bit, but the views were splendid and once the road construction below access to town center will be even easier.

My first thought when reviewing a stay is the warmth of the staff, this sets the tone for the rest of my stay and the team here were wonderful! From an early check-in arrangement, to checking in, breakfast, shared spaces etc. Friendly, helpful and just overall lovely people. Location - 3 minute walk to town Centre, 12.00 Uber into town at non-peak times (price can vary from 12.00-27.00 depending on the time, I only used Uber to get here from town, as I had a large suitcase and duffle back). 45.00 Uber to the airport (taxi is almost double the price for effectively the same service, I found uber more reliable as a prior taxi had mixed up my pick-up time) despite being booked well in advance eeek! Comfortable - King bed with a medium-firm mattress. Great support for my back and it was complimented with cloud like pillows. - In room heating. - Bathrobes and slippers. - 2 seated sofa. - Decent area for luggage by wardrobe. - Small courtyard to enjoy some fresh air on (I think the furniture could be switched out in the Summer time, something cushioned/more lounge like to bask in the Sun and views) the Bistro style set wasn’t too comfortable to sit on. Cleanliness - everything from the bed/linen, to the spacious bathroom, wardrobe, small kitchenette etc housekeeping did a daily service of my suite and replenished all soiled linen, tea/coffee. Noise - no issues, relatively quiet at times felt I was the only one on site but you can hear people walking in the above room, on the steps adjacent to the King suite I was in quite loudly. It didn’t bother me, as I am use to the hustle and bustle of a busy household but it could be bothersome for others. Breakfast - flavoursome, fresh and homely. There is a range of hot breakfast meals to choose from and this was a highlight as I love my food. They also had a great selection of granola and pastries, and filtered coffee.

Loved everything, I’ll be back.
