Breakfast good. Location is excellent, easy walk downhill to the lake. But coming back from the lake is an uphill climb.

Be aware of the owners(?) of this property. They are shady and dishonest. They tried to collect from me in CASH payment of my stay when they know in fact that BOOKING.COM billed my credit card days before I arrived. I did not enough cash at time so I not was able to pay but collected an amount to pay some sort of taxes. Booking.com should be aware of properties like PENZION KAPS and kick them out of their system. Aside from this I had a good stay.

Very good standard: breakfast, reception service and the room itself was nice with a balcony and was clean. I like to stay in places where there is a family run hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean with great amenities such as coffee, tea, wifi, an extra umbrella if needed, and a large bathroom. We had a nice small balcony off the room as well. The host greeted us with great suggestions of what to see in the area. We took all the suggestions to walk the lake, see the castle, take a boat ride, hike to viewpoints and see the gorge. I left a sweatshirt behind and they were able to get it to me quickly which was wonderful. Breakfast was great as well!

The hotel was perfectly located. It is in a very Alpine like quiet area but it only took 3 minutes to walk to the lake at Bled. Lake Bled is a beautiful location and we were able to go walking, swimming and rowing during our stay. There are also day trips from the bus station. Our hotel Penzion Kaps was set away from the lake, which made it peaceful, but it was a short walk to the restaurants and shops, as well as Lake Bled itself. The room was a good size with a balcony. We also had a large bathroom and there was tea/coffee making facilities. There was also a fridge in the room, which was very helpful. There was a good selection for breakfast and the hosts were happy to provide extras requested.

We had a fantastic stay at Penzion Caps. The apartment was a perfect blend of modern amenities in a traditional building, giving it a unique charm. It’s conveniently located close to a great restaurant and just 300 meters from Lake Bled, making it easy to enjoy the stunning scenery. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The bathroom was brand new and very nice, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The apartment was extremely clean, had plenty of space, and was well-equipped with everything we needed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay near Lake Bled.

Our room had a nice king-size bed and a second room for the kids with 2 twin beds. The room was very spacious and immaculately clean. It feels new, but with a rustic decor. The A/C worked great, and there was a small fridge. The bathroom was large, with a large shower that had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Our room had a private back door to the terrace, so we could enter and leave without walking through the whole house. Peter was an exceptional host. Breakfast was great! There was an assortment of pastries, breads, hot and cold meats, and cheeses, and eggs made to order. The location was just a few minutes walk down to the lake and was very quiet. There was plenty of convenient and spacious parking.

I liked everything about Penzion Kaps.

This may have been one of my favorite B&B experiences in my travel memory. The location was great, an easy walk to the restaurants/lake-side but a bit above the lake so it was quieter. Parking was easy, with a spot for every room so no need to fight for spots. Peter was efficient with check in and available for questions/recommendations. The rooms were impeccable and the decoration/furniture were beautiful. Our room had a little terrace that made for a perfect picnic, and they were kind enough to provide plates/utensils. There was a kettle with coffee/tea in the room, and a mini fridge to store some food. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of fresh foods (pastries, fruits, yogurts, dried fruits, breads, veggies, cheeses) and eggs to order. Just sad we didn't have more time!

We had stayed in Ljubljana centre for 4 nights prior to transferring to Lake Bled. This was an excellent choice. It is a Chalet style property and we stayed in a double attic room. It looked and felt brand new. Automatic velux windows, air conditioning, excellent bathroom and shower, complimentary tea and coffee, fridge and on arrival apple juice and chocolates. It is a short walk from the lake and all the restaurants. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and varied with hot and cold options. It was a joy in the mornings to wake up to.

After a warm greeting at my late arrival, my host phoned three places to get me a place to eat. He helped me plan my activities and even provided an ebike for me. The breakfasts were excellent and included eggs cooked according to preference, which was remembered and offered on the following days with a smile. The facilities are new. The hotel is a short walk down to the lake.

I hate to mention anything to suggest that the hotel was not perfect, but there was one thing. The firmness of mattresses is a personal preference, but I did find mine a bit too firm.
