Good location for enjoyment of waterfront area. Short bus ride from megabus stop/bus station, v close to Temple Meads train station. Smart foyer, excellent room. Quiet location. Very good staff. Security guard at entrance. Comfortable bed. Free soft drinks in fridge and coffee pods; possibly I'd been given upgrade to premier room. Good bathroom, very smart, good shower

Area-wide electric outage for 6 hours on a Monday meant no WiFi (for my work) and no water for bathroom/toilet. Part-refund via Booking dot com made. Hotel not to blame. Air con in room seemed a bit loud but I may be wrong. Would like ventilator in bathroom

Room size was fab and the bed a massive!!! Liked the fact we had a nespresso machine as myself and hubby are big coffee drinkers especially with him being a batista. The shower products are absolutely amazing... would love to have them at home! Staff were very responsive when we asked for replenishments due to room not being serviced and came to our room within 5-10mins of sending a message to them.

Given that we were in the privilege room, we were not given newspapers, and our room was not serviced, so we had no fresh towels, clean cups, or tea/coffee replenished, which was rather disappointing.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was kept well stocked and there was a large variety of choices. The bed was really comfy. Iron and ironing board already in room instead of having to ask for one. Still and sparkling water fountain in hallway. The Mercure proves that hotels can be affordable and still be great quality, unlike some of the big name chains.

Only took one star off because the bar wasn't very well stocked, and although I liked the fact I could WhatsApp the desk it did mean that an answer to a query was sometimes a bit late, but if it was really urgent you could always just go downstairs and ask. The air-conditioning wasn't quite cold enough on the coldest setting but it was acceptable and the windows don't open so no fresh air. None of these things are deal breakers for me though. We had a great stay.

Comfort of bed and the space of the room was great. There were a few things with the room, but I stayed for one night, so maybe in the future, if I stayed longer, I probably would have notified the staff more about a few things. But I do love mercure hotels in general.

No bulb in lampshade. The aircon was loud, and I didn't feel like it worked properly. The lighting in one corner of me getting ready was very dark and felt like it needed more light. I struggled with that where the long mirror was nearest to the door. Also, there was a back of an earring on the floor, so I'm not sure if it was cleaned properly?

Very clean and tidy, value for money was very good- the hotel had a high end feel but paid standard price. Pleasant staff, nice breakfast.

The view wasn’t great, unfortunately we looked down onto the bin store which was not looked after- bin bags ripped apart and looked like they’d been there quite a while. The gym was very small and very minimal equipment but for a one night stay this didn’t bother us much- if we’d have stayed longer it may have been more of an issue. One very small thing, our television was VERY slow in picking up signal from the remote and would not allow us to go onto the to guide, this isn’t a complaint at all but may be worth checking the teles if they’re a little outdated.

I liked everything about our stay from the minute we walked in until we left the following morning. We were welcomed by lovely staff 😊 the hotel itself smelt beautiful and it was very clean our room was the same. We had never experienced such a lovely room they just thought of everything. We had had a dissapointment that morning from Bristol Airport as we had missed our flight up to Inverness due to road closures and diversions so we had to wait for a flight the following day so staying in this hotel really cheered us up and your kind staff helped us to print off our new boarding passes as we couldn't do this on our phones. So yes a wonderful hotel to stay in and hope we can return one day without missing our flight

I honestly have not one thing I can say I disliked only having to leave

Lovely hotel, great location short walk to Dock area with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, staff were lovely very helpful, lifts from carpark to rooms disable friendly, rooms lovely we were upgraded to a privilege suite with fluffy robes slippers and soft drinks mini bar, beds very comfortable 2 comfy pillows each, shower wad great, buffet breakfast was as you would expect lots of choice toast cereals fruit, pastries and English breakfast,

When we arrived in the carpark we noticed half the hotel had belongings piled in all the windows, we found out later this half of the hotel was given to refugees, this didn't however distract from a lovely 2 night stay, we only saw a couple of refugees but none of them are allowed in the hotel areas there is a security guard as you walk through into reception, Only other thing I didn't like, but this is purely my taste . The bacon was very greasy.

The room was nice and spacious and had huge windows. The bed was so comfy and the shower was really good. it was a nice space to come back to in the evenings after exploring Bristol all day. The location was also super convenient

Our room was next to the lift which was fine for the most part (it was a very quiet room). it was just on the Friday morning when people were leaving early with all their luggage it was a little noisier. I’m quite a light sleeper so it woke me up but my partner slept right through it. It wasn’t the lift itself that was noisy but the people leaving. other than that the room was very quiet.

Lovely modern decor. Fabulous comfy beds. Very nice helpful staff. Fabulous location close to the harbour and all its attractions.

Coffee machines not in all our rooms, so sone of us had to cope with instant. My biggest disappointment was that the only newspaper available at breakfast was the awful right wing rag The Mail. We found that offensive. I’d advise getting rid off it or offering a variety of newspapers not just ones read by bigots and racists.

We liked the convenient location of the hotel for exploring the extensive docks area by foot. The tree screening at the front was effective at masking the heavy traffic, just beyond the trees, on Recliffe Hill. The welcome by reception staff was friendly and efficient. Our room, furnishings and en-suite were very clean and the shower worked well. The hotel bar was a little soulless but that's probably because it was rather a big space with a high ceiling. The car park was conveniently placed at the rear of the hotel.

We thought the hotel car park charge of £19.50 for 24 hours was too high, but perhaps that's a usual city centre price nowadays.
