The Hostel has a very good location. Close to every significant point of the city. By the riverside, very close to restaurants and bars. The Shuttle bus from the airport stops and leaves at the same street where the hostel is. The room was clean, the bathroom looked recently renovated.

The room was next to a busy road, and the windows were untight. You could hear all the noises from the street - cars, people shouting. I stayed there in September so it was still rather warm, only the mornings were cold. But I cannot imagine sleeping there during winter. First time I also encounter a charge for a hairdryer.

The establishment was clean and well-maintained. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and the premises secure. Superb location next to the Harbour and only around a 10-minute walk to the O2 Academy and other central venues. Handy newsagent / off-licence right across the road if in need of supplies. The Harbourside Desi Kitchen & Bar adjoining the hostel was a vibrant place offering authentic Indian cuisine with a 10% discount for hostel guests. Overall, an enjoyable and pleasant stay. Many thanks:)

A lack of taps providing drinking water. However, bottled water can easily be purchased from the reception or the shop across the road.

There Is A £20 Cash Deposit. It is in the description however I missed it so others might too Very budget friendly Close enough to amenities

The ATM was broken at the time of visiting The beds were very close together and less privacy than a lot of hostels, as per the photos

location was perfect, walking distance to the center and easy access to all shops and buses (including the bus to the airport!), beds were comfy and plenty charging ports. the hostel feels like a bit of a maze to navigate but very clearly signposted and easy to get around (i loved the layout personally!), all the bathrooms are private too so even if the one by your room was occupied you just had to find another on the same floor. the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, i couldn't rate them highly enough. my flight was delayed over 2 hours which meant i couldn't make last check-in, i gave them a ring to ask if there's anything i could do and they said they'd wait up at the desk so i could still get in. true enough it ended up being 1am by the time i arrived and the staff got me sorted. gave me scran recommendations too as i was checking out! this was was my first time in bristol and despite the chaos of travelling (which had nothing to do with the hostel of course!) i had a great time and would definitely stay here again if i'm down in the future.

honestly not much! the room was very warm even with the window open but i still slept like a log, the bathrooms could've been a little cleaner but they were still fine

The staff was really nice and helpful, everything was clean and the location was great. I initially booked a 10 bed dorm, but then realized I would be sleeping with only men, which didn't feel so safe as a solo female traveler. I asked if it was possible to be in another room, with women preferably, and they agreed immediately, which was nice. I do feel like solo female travelers should be immediately put with other women, or warned about mixity in dorms... overall was a lovely stay, thanks a lot !

This accommodation was exactly what I needed for a short stay. The price was incredibly affordable, making it an excellent option for budget travelers. I was just looking for a place to rest for the night, and it exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided all the basic amenities I needed. If you’re seeking a no-frills, budget-friendly place to stay, I highly recommend this spot. It’s perfect for anyone needing a simple and economical option.

Quite and clean.

Great location, easy check in. It’s always fun meeting cool people in these places. Shame about the revellers coming in at 4am and waking everyone up but apart from that it was a pleasant no frills stay.

All great, could have maybe done with another pillow. Towels are an additional £2 or bring your own. No good or drink allowed in the rooms. Rooms would have benefitted from a mirror and the mirrors in the bathrooms would have been better being placed a little higher. Location was excellent and all was clean and good value so I cannot fault.

The lighting and access to many toilets and bathrooms across floors.

Ventilation of the room. It would have been great if there was an extractor in the dormitory of 6 people. The windows were next to the road, so we couldn’t leave it open due to car noise and fumes from cars. Also, we didn’t want excessive cold air coming in. The room was eventually very stuffy and became an atmosphere for infectious diseases to thrive. It became smelly too. If there was an extractor, this wouldn’t be the case.

Dear Harbourside Team, I trust you are doing well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service I experienced during my recent stay at your hostel. The dedication and warmth of your staff truly made a significant impact on my journey. I was particularly touched by the fact that your team went the extra mile by waiting for me until late into the night, ensuring that I had a smooth check-in process. Their kindness and willingness to accommodate my situation made me feel truly valued as a guest. The genuine hospitality I experienced was evident throughout my stay, and I felt a strong sense of comfort and belonging. Even though I managed to miss the check-in time, your staff's understanding and helpfulness turned what could have been a stressful situation into a positive and memorable experience. I want to extend my deepest thanks for creating an environment where guests are treated with such care and consideration. It's clear that your team is committed to making each guest's stay as pleasant as possible. I will undoubtedly cherish the memories I made at your hostel and will gladly recommend it to fellow travelers. Once again, thank you for going above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. I look forward to the possibility of returning in the future.

My partner and I were visiting for a concert in bristol amphitheatre and were after somewhere affordable to stay the night - this hostel absolutely delivered! We were a little wary given some reviews on here, but on check in, were put at ease - 2 very friendly people checked us in and showed us where to store our bags, and showed us to our dorm. The rooms very super clean, and beds very comfy. The shared bathroom is fairly basic but aways clean, and we didn't ever have to queue. The hostel was very quiet inside (we got a bit of street noise around midnight but only as we had the window open) and felt very safe. The reception was manned 24/7 (we left at 5am and the staff were chirpy and helpful even at that hour). Just remember to pick up cash for the deposit (£20 I think), and read the details that say it may cost to store a large bag in the store room (as you cant have big luggage in the dorm), and you’ll have no surprises. Brilliant value for money, would definitely stay here again. Location was incredible for the amphitheatre / harbour. Thanks for a great stay!

No complaints. If you want a social scene, this isn't the place (no bar / communal space). But if you want a good nights sleep, for a low price, its the one.
