Island location was fantastic and just a short walk to Dorney to watch the rowing regatta was perfect for us! Staff were really accommodating and helpful - we asked the night before if we could get an early breakfast so we could walk to Dorney for the racing and they were only too happy to oblige. When we came down to breakfast everything was ready and the staff were just fantastic! We had been planning to go into Windsor for dinner in the evening but having seen the menu when we went to the restaurant to ask about the breakfast timing, we decided to stay and were very pleased we did - the food was wonderful and the riverside dining venue was great!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property on Christmas Eve. The arrival and check-in experience were great - the hotel offered a glass of vin chaud, which was a nice touch during the festive season. The property and its grounds are well taken care of. The team was incredibly friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, and the food went above and beyond our expectations - great quality and excellent value for money. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

The hotel is located conveniently for The Fat Duck or The Waterside Inn (in case the inn itself is booked out). It is a walking distance however there is no pavement for most of the walk. The hotel staff can book a taxi if needed which is less than ten pounds (as of 2024). The property itself is really charming, located on the island inside the river Thames. The car park and the reception is on the solid land side and the rooms can be reached by walking over a picturesque bridge. The staff are extremely nice and weather permitting it is a really nice place to relax.

I think the property could do with a refurb but perhaps it adds to the charm... it didn't bother us because the gardens are immaculate and the surroundings very pleasant.

The staff were excellent and took the time to make sure everything was perfect. The room while small was comfortable . The views were just so relaxing . The choice of drinks in the mini fridge were a nice touch. Reception staff were on point , familiar with the area and very informative . Whilst we were only there for one night (visiting a local Restaurant,) the care and attention we received from arrival to departure was memorable. We will be back.

The birthday drink advertised as champagne should have been champagne or correctly advertised as Prosecco

A stunning location on an island in the Thames with beautiful lawns and historic buildings. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant. We also thoroughly enjoyed dining at the onsite brasserie. One evening we walked into Bray (20min) for a gourmet meal. To make your stay special I would recommend booking a room on the island rather than the entry-level barn rooms. Our room was luxurious and had a balcony with views overlooking the river.

The bed was far too soft for our liking. There is some noise from the nearby motorway.

Nice bedroom. Comfortable bed. We slept really well each night we were there. The setting of the hotel is lovely, and the staff are excellent. Breakfast choice was decent and ours was included in the price of the room. However, I was staggared at the cost for those who have to pay separately. £40 for a cooked breakfast is crazy at any level.

The bathrooms could have been cleaner. There is no excuse for black mould build up on silicone these days. There are mould removers that get rid of this kind of thing very easily, and if cleaned properly, it should never happen in the first place. Same applies to the limescale build up in areas of the bathroom. This can be easily kept on top of with the right cleaning equipment. The brand of tea the hotel uses is a very standard, cheap brand. There are much nicer, better quality brands, which I would expect hotels at this level to use. If you want a tip, have a look at Jing Tea ot Tea From The Manor. They tend to be used fairly widely at 5 star level.

The location was absolutely wonderful, the island is stunning and the rooms are lovely and cosy.

We ate dinner at the restaurant on the island, the service was superb but the food was nothing exceptional. My partners food did not taste right and was a little disappointing. The cheese board was not good either, it said it was locally sourced cheeses, but as far as i could tell was supermarket cheddar, stilton and brie and nothing else.

The location was really superb. The buildings were beautiful, there were birds and animals everywhere, very close and lovely to watch kingfishers nesting on the riverbank while eating my breakfast. Stunning grounds, everything in the rooms was new and well thought out. Lovely shower and comfy bed. A superb evening meal, too.

The room was a little smaller than I expected, given the luxury of everything else. The hotel system did not pick up my free Genius breakfast, which caused some confusion, but it eventually got sorted out.

Beautiful property away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and close to the restaurants in Bray. We only stayed overnight so cannot comment on the restaurant .

The bed dipped in the middle making it a little uncomfortable. On our departure it was raining and the staff did not offer an umbrella ( reception said the temple staff should have offered one) so we ended up getting quite wet crossing the bridge back to reception and our car.

Luxurious and comfortable room. The estate itself is also so beautiful and tranquil. Being so close to the motorway, you'd never know! Staff extremely welcoming and helpful, very pleasant! Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing for a peaceful luxury retreat.

Everything was perfect apart from breakfast, which arrived to our table wrong. 2nd attempt to rectify was returned. 3rd time lucky & was delicious. The fault was down to the waiter not writing the order down, the kitchen didn't get the correct order.
