The breakfast was amazing, so many options and our son loved the waffle bar. So many good healthy options too and adaptability for our 10 month old daughter. Staff were very friendly. Room size was great and plenty of space for the sofa bed out for our son and for a cot with room to move.
I did request that the sofa bed and cot were ready for when we arrived as we were arriving late and were hoping to be able to get our kids straight into bed. These things weren't done but the sofa bed was easy enough to pull out quickly and we asked reception for a cot and they brought one straight away so it wasn't the end of the world.

I liked that the hotel was off the beaten path but I will say it was a bit hard to navigate due to road construction. I liked how bright and inviting it was. It was very clean. The room was adequately spacious and just what we needed for our stay. The breakfast buffet was your traditional English breakfast (beans, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes) with good choices of breads (croissant, white and whole wheat slices, crumpets), yogurts, waffle machine, coffee, tea. We went to a music festival weekend at Powderham and it was really lovely to come back to the hotel, with a freshly made bed, fresh towels, and just over all feeling of “being home” after a long day in the sun. Thank you!
By no fault of its own, the hotel was EXTREMELY BUSY and navigating the breakfast buffet and dining area with what seemed liked crowds of people was a bit tough. They might benefit from a larger buffet area as I noticed by the end of the weekend they moved the waffle station more into the dining room to make more space for people to move about. To be fair, it was a bank holiday weekend near the airport so I totally understand it being busy. As someone who struggles with anxiety it was a bit stressful but we managed. Side note, the orange juice was very watered down and was almost undrinkable.

The lady at check-in was polite, professional, patient and friendly. When we arrived, the lady was dealing with a very difficult, prolonged check-in. We were loosing patience just watching the man, who, turns out had not booked a room, but the lady was pleasent and super patient. ***** staff member. All staff, check-in, bar, restaurant, house keeper, breakfast and check-out were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Everything about our stay was good, great even, but not breakfast. Dinner menu requires a shake up. Vegetarian and Vegan options. The veggie burger was nearly OK.
Hash browns looked like they had been in a freezer uncovered and were overcooked. Mushrooms looked horrible and were. Tinned mushrooms should be banned from all hospitality. Scrambled egg was totally tasteless; I'm guessing there were no eggshells in the kitchen bin. The tomato looked nice but tasted somewhat sour. We don't eat meat but the sausage and bacon looked fine. *quorn sausages for breakfast and beyond burger for dinner* easy peasy, Hampton!

The second room was excellent. It was modern and clean. The view from the window in our room was across open farmland, although I think if we had a room on the other side of the hotel we'd have been looking out across the car park and M5. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was much larger than we expected. The walk in shower was a decent size and the water temperature and pressure were better than you normally get. The breakfast was very good with an excellent choice of both cooked and continental type fare. Overall, very pleased!
The first room we were allocated had an overwhelming damp smell as soon as we opened the door. We couldn't see any obvious reason for it but something was obviously wrong. The good thing was that we were allocated another room straight away and the receptionist apologised for the problem.

every thing ,it is a really nice hotel , reception staff excellent and a nice smile, room was spotless, the beds were great ,a good nights sleep, rooms made up every day, well done house maids, breakfast was really nice, self serving which worked very well, and free parking, thank you everyone for very nice staycation.
They need more hotel directional signs from the main road, I spoke to several people who went around the industrial estate as we did before finding the hotel, its that first time finding the hotel ,bigger and better signage for the future.

Wonderful view from the window. Although the hotel is on an industrial estate, it is on the edge and looks out over lovely open fields. The free car park is big, with more than enough parking for all guests. Breakfast was a cooked and continental buffet. The food was good and plentiful. The evening bar meal (nachos and a pizza) wasn't all that great, but filled a hole when we didn't want to travel into Exeter centre for more. I would happily stay here again when travelling through the area.
The menu was very limited in the evening. It was a bar menu though, not a restaurant, so this is understandable to some degree.

The property was spotless. the room was spacious. breakfast was lovely, fresh and hot and lots of variety. the children loved the waffle maker.
I was surprised to see just a pull out bed for our 2 children to share. With an Autistic child it was difficult for her to settle with her sibling in the same bed. At breakfast the fasciitis were great for us as a family, although I helped a lady in a wheelchair to serve herself breakfast due to every thing too high or far back for her, aswell as it being a small space with the amount of people in there. staff weren’t very helpful in offering her help.

Returning customers. Requested disabled facilities, walk in shower, everything accessible. Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Lovely comfortable bed & pillows, light & airy room, desk, adjustable chair, 2 bed settees. TV, Bedside lights & sockets. Self service Breakfast - choice of fresh fruit, (oranges, melons, apples) grapefruit, waffles & sauces, cooked breakfast - sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, beans, scrambled eggs; toast, crumpets, cheeses, ham, cereals, yoghurt, compote, fruit juices, coffee machine with Latte etc. various teas. All in plentiful supply. Flights were delayed & coach loads of passengers arrived, all staff piled in to help so minimum waiting. Brilliant. Evening meals: daily specials, e.g steak, soup & roll, Caesar Salad, BBQ Jackfruit Pizza, Burgers, chicken &/or beef, chips. Bar facilities good with helpful friendly bar staff, especially Tony. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
Noisy closing doors, especially with early/late departures. Could have softer closing doors for minimal sleep loss.

The service from the staff was very welcoming. We requested two rooms near each other and our rooms on arrival were together, which we were very grateful for. Everywhere was really clean. The breakfast self service you cannot fault with even a waffle maker for you to use which our Grandson enjoyed making, the variety of hot and cold food, fresh fruit and a variety of drinks, and you can eat as much as you want, we could not fault it. We also had a lovely view from our room and any emails We sent to the hotel were answered promptly which is a rare these days.
The main problem is it is poorly sign posted making it difficult to find as it was off the main road on a sort of industrial site. We arrived at 9pm and it was starting to get dark we took several side turnings before we eventually found the hotel. We feel this issue needs to be addressed.
