The staff were all really kind and friendly. Everyone I interacted with during my stay was great. The bed was really comfy and the room had everything I needed for my stay. The food was great at dinner and breakfast, especially the pizza. The dinner menu is really good value for money, in particular the pizza deal on a Wednesday night.

The car park wasn't ideal - it's on the main road just along from the hotel. It had plenty space for the guests, but when I was leaving I found that lorries were blocking the entrance/exit while doing deliveries and I had to wait for them to leave to get my car out. But other than that, I had a great night at the hotel.

really warm welcome from Sally and the team. We arrived at a very busy time but the staff were great. The pub had a lovely vibe on a Saturday evening too, very welcoming to non-locals. The room was super clean and comfortable. The rooms were also very quiet, which was a relief. local is great too, only 5 minutes away from the beautiful Arnside. breakfast was great too

Nothing really that we didn’t like. only thing I would mention is that as it’s above a pub there are some stairs to the rooms. this wasn’t a problem for us but it might be for some people who have mobility issues.

Lovely little pub. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. We came with our 4 year old and it was perfect. Shane was especially great at taking care of us. It was 32 degrees when we arrived and the staff had closed all the curtains and fans in every room for us. The rooms have absolutely everything you would need and are so quiet. Breakfast was by far one of the best we have had and it’s a complete bargain. Lovely friendly locals as well - we will definitely be back. It was a perfect stop off - 5mins from the m6, for our onward journey to Scotland

We stayed at the Bulls Head because of a funeral we were attending which was a few minutes down the road. The moment we walked in the gentleman behind the bar checked we had suitable parking and asked if we needed help with our bags. All necessary info was given regarding meal times. The food menus gave plenty of options all reasonably priced, we had an evening meal of fish and chips which was excellent and very hot. The beer was also good. There was good selection at breakfast, my partner had scrambled egg on toast and I had the full English breakfast was very good and filling. The bar area was pleasant with a nice open log fire which was well looked after by the staff. The Landlady said we could stay in our room past checkout time because the funeral wasn't until the afternoon, this was very kind and we accepted. The pub also offered to serve teas and coffees after the funeral and that we could confirm later, this was also very kind especially at such short notice. I would definitely stay here again.

We liked everything.

The breakfast was really nice, we had the full English. It came with toast, jams, cereal, tea, coffee and fresh orange juice. It was nice friendly and relaxed. One member of staff who we would like to give a mention to is Shane who works behind the bar. Thank you to all the staff especially Sally who kindly let us stay in our room while we waited for a hire car.

There was nothing we didn't like about the food, except when we were too late for it after sleeping in. Maybe the closing times for breakfast could be extended? But the staff are very busy and there is a couple of places in the square to get breakfast.

Lovely comfortable beds, very clean throughout. The staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast.

Limited evening menu. No soya milk alternative to normal milk. Due to the warm weather a salad would have been good. Only chicken, prawn or ham salad on offer which as a vegetarian not an option. Maybe a cheese salad or ploughman's would make a nice alternative?

The pub was well situated for walking in Arnside and Silverdale. Its a beautiful area. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Our room was smaller than we expected and a little cramped but it was clean and comfortable and we didn't spend too much time in it anyway. The hosts are very friendly and very willing to please. The evening meals at the pub are good value for money.

Our room was quite small. We had an adjoining family room and we think we were shown into the wrong half. We found the road outside very noisy but that's just a personal thing because we are unused to traffic where we live.

The people in charge, when things very nearly went wrong almost into complaint mode staff turned that around into very good compliment mode and happy to say they understand the importance of great customer service when even they are not directly at fault. Breakfast was of very high quality cereal and coffee products eggs, bacon etc generally above expectation. We liked the place a lot.

Only one thing wrong breakfast mushrooms not fried in butter and tomato under cooked for us. Like to see the skin about to slide off but over all this was not really important

Staff are kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. Room was very clean and quiet although above a pub. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. We felt very welcome by the proprietor and staff.

The proprietor knows the bathroom is small; could be better configured for the space. Other minor issues were the door lock that worked just fine, but the handle was a loose fitting. Mattress not uncomfortable, but not a modern comfort type.

Had a one night stay as in the area for a family funeral. The pub was warm and cosy, 2 lovely real fires . Our rooms were cosy warm all night even though it was -6 outside. Cleanliness was excellent. All the staff were very friendly. We had a great meal , all had different things and all tasty and very good value. Breakfast was also great, lots of choice and quality produce. We are planning on coming again in the summer for a family get together.
