Great location, very near the park with a walk round the lake and on to the promenade. Our room was a twin on the ground floor with its own access from the road and this suited we oldies perfectly. The breakfast was everything we could wish for and we had a very friendly welcome. We left behind our chargers by mistake and had them posted on to us without asking ! How great is that ! We highly recommend Elton House.

Nothing we did not like

Just spent 2 nights this weekend at this guest house. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. It's a great location just a few minutes walk from Grange town centre. There was on-road parking outside, and close to the promenade and train station. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, in fact they even went to great lengths to make sure I could watch my favourite football team play live on TV, which was a pleasant surprise, and I was challenged to a game of pool in their sports room. The room was very clean and modern, with a TV, and nice shower, and overlooking their garden which is well-maintained, with a seating area. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of cereals.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.

We loved everything about our stay at Elton Guest House! - Fantastic hosts, superb breakfast, spotlessly clean room in a lovely quiet location, but only a short walk to local shops, restaurants and pubs. The location was perfect for us, as we had a 'Walking with wolves' experience booked at the nearby Predator Experience centre (10 mins drive from the guest house). The games room was a bonus! - we used this both nights we stayed as we enjoy a game of pool and darts. Jean and Shaun really made us feel at home, and we would definitely stay again in future.

Nothing :)

Gem of a place; Victorian house beautifully updated. woth lovely wallpaper in the room. and super beds/bedding and matching cushions in grey and mustard. colour. Jean and Shaun were welcoming, friendly and very helpful .Great breakfast and tea, coffee and delicious hot chocolate in the room.🍵. There is a games table but didn't usr. Location is very good 5 mins from Grange Station with buses and trains to other places in Cumbria. Also a 10 min walk to Grange OS . It is a pretty place, fab promenade with great restaurants esp the Bistro and Greek opposite. Wish we went 1st week of June instead of end of May for the Ullverston International Music Festival. ( also Cartmel races) .

We stayed for a couple of nights in the Guest house. The owners make the stay very confortable and they help you with everything that they can (lake district walks..). There are some amenities in the house such as dards, pool table and a lounge with a big mirror. all the facilities are in a very good condition. I also recommend the breakfast - half buffet half menu in their lovely dining room. The area is very close to many Lake district walk starting point and the beach of the town was a nice surprise for us. There are some coffee shops where you can have a coffee with sea views. we completely recommend it.

Shaun and Jean were very welcoming and friendly . We had the room with Kingsize bed , spacious and very clean . Liked the two comfy chairs so you didn’t have to sit on the bed . Well thought out .The breakfast in the morning was excellent , best we’ve had . Set you up for the day . Locate amenities short walking distance from the Elton and the train station a couple of minutes walk .We went to the racing at Cartmel so staying here was perfect .

Beautifully presented property, inside and out; tastefully decorated and furnished. Liked that there was a lovely big living room available to guests. Very nice bedroom. Quiet. We felt very much at home (except it the Elton is a lot tidier!). Well located, town just a few minutes walk and some nice cafes en route too. Hosts Jean and Sean were so obliging and welcoming, nothing was a bother. Breakfast was good quality, nicely presented and especially appreciated the variety, including fruits and yoghurts. There was an extra bonus too - the nightly garden visitor in the form of a peanut-snaffling Badger! Thank you Jean and Sean, we really enjoyed our stay.

Location was 3min walk from the train station & Ornamental Gardens, 10 min walk to the main shops at Grange, although there were 2 cafes locally. The guest house has a large lounge with TV, books, games and a piano for those rainy days! The owners, Jean & Shaun were very friendly & helpful. Plenty of choice at breakfast time and the cooked breakfast were great. If you like wildlife, then the 2 badgers who came to the back garden every evening won't disappoint!. The room was very clean, beds comfy & good stock of tea, coffee & hot chocolate in the room. It was our first stay at this guest house and we would certainly return again

Nothing to dislike

I met the lovely New owners Jean & Shaun who did amazingly , very friendly it was just like staying with friends or family ,lovely room which was cozy & very clean with a nice view of the garden & trees ,sounds of the birds , also an owl or two ,sights of squirrels and it was also lovely to view the Badgers from the dining room and get a pic and video too in the eve so thank you , I received a bottle of Prosecco as there was a slight mix up with my room , which was very much appreciated as the mix up was no bother to me ,they even offered me a bigger room which was very kind but I chose the smaller one as I was alone and I preferred being at the back of property . Breakfast in the morning which was cooked by Shaun was delicious with good quality products & a perfectly cooked poached egg ,served by Jean who is great for a chat ,there was also a good selection of cereal fruits and yogurts . I would highly recommend this Guest house as a lovely place to stay when visiting Grange-over-sands and the local Area . I look forward to staying again soon , Thanks again Jean and Shaun I had a lovely relaxing break and your doing superb !
