Excellent, classy hotel. Although quite central in Tunbridge Wells, quietly located, with lots of nature around. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner facilities. Parking is a bit of a challenge due to the limited amount of space, but manageable. Beds are really good. Can't quite understand why there was a bathtub in the middle of the room! Nice for couples maybe, but not so handy when you're with the family. Separate shower (without a door!) available as well though. All in all a very nice hotel for a stay in Kent.

Not that much to say. What we noticed is that there seemed to be quite a few new staff-members. Making service maybe a bit clumsy here and there, but that was more than overcompensated by their willingness and friendliness. so no complaints there either.

Loved the Victorian villa feel to the hotel. Spacious bedroom, good WiFi, good television reception. Excellent food. Helpful and accommodating staff. My friends held a celebration there. The spread was plentiful and delicious.

Billing was a bit of a problem. Parking fee was given as £10 on booking website, but actually £15 per night. On arrival I was told I had not paid - when my bank account said I had. On arrival I paid my extras, only to find in the morning that I was being mis-charged for one item and an additional payment was required as only half the additional payment was taken the night before. The morning receptionist did resolve the problem relatively easily but it was a bit of a hassle.

The restaurant and the Food were exceptional, especially the breakfast and Sunday roast dinner. The hotel is beautiful and the gardens are pretty. Really close to the town centre and the high street. The facilities were modern and the room and bed comfortable.

The cosy room in the annex is not suitable for anyone who has difficulties with stairs. The bathroom is down a flight of stairs in the room. I was not happy with this room being out of the main building either. When I explained it was not suitable for my needs I was allocated another room, so we had a fantastic stay in the end

We were greeted by the lovely Holly who made us feel, right from the start, welcome and 'special' and continued to be wonderful throughout our stay. My 65th Birthday returning to my place of birth where I had not returned for 64 and a half years.....we were kindly upgraded. All the staff were so very polite, kind and welcoming. (Louis, Stoyah and Frankie) The room was beautiful with nice furnishings and a great bathroom. Our view, overlooking Calverley Park was so lovely (especially as I was born in Calverley Park Nursing Home!!) Breakfast was good with some great quality products and a good cooked vegan breakfast too. Our meal on the second night was excellent and the snacks etc that we had throughout our stay of a really good quality.

Would have appreciated some dairy free choices for Country Table Breakfast and evening meal desserts and maybe a couple of vegetarian/vegan options on the Bar Menu (although great that there is a Vegan Afternoon Tea!!)

Contact with every member of staff was relaxed and efficient. I was staying whilst my partner was in hospital following an accident. Two women were exceptional in the way that they supported me over this. Lily, the reception manager and one of the staff who waited on table at dinner, l don't remember her name, but l think she spoke with a French accent.

A mirror with a plug socket near by would have made getting dressed much more manageable. I found getting into the bath for a shower a bit of a struggle, l have MS and am sixty!

Room, spacious, quiet

Dinner at restaurant. The room looked nice and it obviously considered itself to be of high standard, but the food (and service) the one night we ate there was not good. (Breakfast, howevet, was good). We stayed 6 nights and evrry night we asked for the terrace lights to be turned off (they shone i to our room), but this proved surprisingly very difficult. The 12.5 % 'discriminatory' service charge is a disgrace - forcing the onus on the customer to be the bad guy when asking for it to br removed.

I really loved the building, there is no denying it is a fantastic one. The room was pretty much as expected and was certainly clean and comfortable. Really useful to include hangers in the wardrobe, which is a nice little touch and makes a big difference. The breakfast was spot on. I had both the cooked and continental and they were really very nice. The bar is really comfy with a reasonable selection of drinks.

The wardrobe had a built in light, which is useful. But it flickered like mad which was quite frustrating. The price seemed quite high for what I suspect I could get similar for at a lower cost. However, I knew this when I booked so that is on me.

Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious. We were very pleased to be upgraded as the booking we made through booking.com could not be located on arrival. The staff quickly resolved the situation and upgraded us as a gesture. Nor were we charged for parking which was fair in the circumstances.

We would have preferred a cafetière brought to the table at breakfast as getting up to top up our cups in the middle of eating cooked breakfast was not ideal. I also like a jug of hot milk with my coffee.

Very nice old property done in a French decor…bar was lovely nice wine and champagne’s, staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the suites and there is everything you need plus some nice extra room touches….stocked up mini bar if you want anything and very nice shampoo etc

To be honest everything was lovely …location right in town the only down side is parking although for a £10 fee you can park right outside the hotel and they put a sign with your name for your spot which is what we did but not a lot of spaces so ring up hotel and book a space when you book room ….there is a multi storey car park nearby to park if you cannot secure a spot outside the hotel

The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Loved the roll top bath. My dog was well provided for with bed, bowls and doggy treats and poo bags. A great park next door for dog walks. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I was told the council car park opposite could be used for parking. When I tried to park and book for 24 hrs, it only allowed me to book until 5am which was very restrictive. So lucky there was space to park at the hotel.
