I wish I could give more than 10 stars! A group of g ladies stayed here this past weekend for my wedding as I was getting married nearby at Blackwell Grange and the hospitality we received was outstanding! From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do more for us! Gavin in particular made our stay so special, making sure the bride had the most beautiful room ‘The Lazy Pug’ which is huge and even has a bath in the middle of it! All of the rooms are individually beautifully styled and you would be happy to stay in any! We were given a free bottle of prosseco and shots at dinner, and the staff even joined in having a shot with us to toast the bride. As they knew we would be up super early they kindly brought us up beautiful breakfast platters of warm pastries and mixed fruits. The food was delicious and great value for money. Absolutely amazing place to stay and we will definitely be back!! Thank you so much to all at The Lazy Pug!

There is nothing not to like!!!

It is a nice pub in a quiet Cotswolds village, east to reach and find. The whole pub was nicely decorated. The room was spacious, quiet, well kept and comfortable. The room had a boutique hotel feel with character and style. The bathroom too was stylish and roomy. Shower excellent. There was a small fridge and a coffee maker in the room and the TV had netflix, all nice extra touches. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional. This place is highly recommended. Would want to stay there again when in the area.

lovely room, clean, spacious and well decorated. Pub below was also really lovely. Lovely staff! Staff also accommodated an early check in which helped when attending wedding. limited parking, but was able to get a space.

great location, being so central in the town, but also quite a noisy area, due to being on the main high street. Also, old, thin windows making sound on the street loud. Bring ear plugs to have a more comfortable stay. Black out blinds/curtains would be a bonus in these summer months.

Great rooms, shower was excellent, fridge perfect size and bed was really comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful, food was delicious, we had breakfast, lunch and snacks, all really tasty and not long to wait. Entertainment both nights, highly recommend the boozy bingo if it’s on when you’re there. Perfect location for the Cotswolds Distillery (our reason for staying) and Shipston itself, we had lovely walks both days.

Although not an issue for us, noise from the bar and the road outside might be problematic for some.

Lovely comfy room, great shower and it was a bonus to have Netflix on the tv. The food in the food was great, the staff were super friendly and helpful and there was live music in the pub when we stayed which was a real unexpected bonus - great atmosphere.

Not much! There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no milk. It was also quite a noisy room which didn’t bother me but might bother others - opposite a church so the bells ring first thing in the morning and the room is above the lively pub so it’s noisy until the pub closes.

We received a friendly welcome. We stayed in "Mint" and the room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Extras such as the coffee machine and a fridge, complete with milk, were thoughtful additions. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. There was a tasty and varied breakfast menu. We also enjoyed the meal that we had in the pub at night. We were only staying one night but would have been very comfortable staying there for longer.

We was brought as a Christmas gift a gin and whiskey tour in the Cotswold, we found this hotel as the prices where better than anywhere else, i have disability problems and messaged them to explain this, they where brilliant and offered to help me up the stairs. On arrival we where met by a lovely chap who took us to our room, he explained everything we needed to know, coffee machine, netflix on the tv, etc. the staff in all where helpful polite, we had a sunday dinner which was so nice. highly recommend this hotel.

The service charge on the food bill

Nice modern, spacious and clean room with friendly staff and decent dinner and breakfast in the downstairs pub. Large TV and free water provided was great. Would’ve loved to post a picture of our room on our socials but the neon letters on the bedroom wall didn’t all work so that was a missed branding opportunity ;)

The window blinds didn’t block quite enough of the remaining daylight, luckily we brought our own sleep masks.

Lovely modern room. Beautiful decor, big bathroom, nice views. Very good drinks facilities inside the room, and close to the downstairs bar for further food/ drinks needs. Breakfast menu was incredible and food very very good!

Room was very warm! Not sure if this was just the weather on the day or not, but very minor in any case. Towels though clean were quite small, bigger ones required for us larger folks!

Being quirky and different, clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast and super coffee.

Due to the weather the room was hot and stuffy, opened the window and the noise from passing traffic even at 5/6 o'clock in the morning was not good. On the next night asked for a fan, staff were very helpful and supplied one. This alleviated the need to open the window and accordingly we had a much better night's sleep
