The hotel has a stunning location. Big free carpark, Reception staff, The lovely Beatrice was a joy. The restaurant on site is a must. Fantastic manager and amazing waitress who were top. Food amazing seafood. Really good all round hotel that has everything to offer. The indoor pool was a nice bonus for the family to enjoy. Cannot really fault the hotel at all

There was a wedding party and the guests got a bit rowdy around 2am and were above our room. The staff did give us a little discount for the inconvenience the next day upon checkout which was a great gesture. But that is it.

Hotel was fine but electronic key cards drove me mad,and no,we didn't put them near a phone to demagnetise them, but nearly every day would have to go down to the reception to have them re-set them.Otherwise fine. The Vault, for happy hour(4-6pm) was good value and the food in there was spot on.They use the same kitchen as the main restaurant just a different bar to eat it in.If you choose "no housekeeping " to help with staff shortages, climate etc, they give you Some 10CAD vouchers to use wherever in the hotel.Parking a bit hit and miss as there,s probably less spaces than there are cars at times but we managed.Enjoyed our week and wouldn't hesitate to go back but wouldn't need a week next time as everywhere is so far away to get to and return in a day,so bear that in mind when planning your trip.

Only poor water pressure in the bathroom of Room 307.

Probably the best bathroom of any hotel I’ve stayed in and great views from the room too.

No bedside table, so I had to put my phone, glasses and drink on the floor next to the bed. Never stayed in a hotel where there wasn’t a bedside table either Sid of the bed before. The hotel bar only (The Vault) had 12 people in it and no more seats available, so we were told that we’d have to sit outside in the gale force winds if we wanted a drink. Such a tiny bar for a huge hotel.. So we left unhappy and went out to another bar in the town.

Views, location, style, amenities, facilities, restaurant, cafe etc. the main areas and lobby’s, pool, all fantastic. what a stunning property on the water front. walked down to the docks and were entertained by seals. lovely grounds and gardens. outside lounging with fire pits. we thoroughly enjoyed it.

only issue we had was the fridge in our room King standard room wasn’t working. it couldn’t be fixed nor replaced it and we had milk for our kids. room was pretty basic and old, could def use a refresh and better mattress. there’s only 1 elevator and it takes forever.

Comfort of the room was excellent. Cleanliness was also excellent. It's a beautiful setting with lovely outdoor area with firepits and outdoor seating overlooking the water.

The water pressure in the washbasin was extremely poor. When asked to be moved or have it fixed, they did not have their maintenance crew available on the Monday. I decided to use the hot tub after a long day only to find the water extremely murky with excessive foam buildup. It was in dire need of a water changeout.

The overall experience was great. Better then expected. Restaurant and lounge/bar were very tasty. RMT massage at the spa was very relaxing. Staff were super helpful. Everything was pretty well maintained. Setting was lovely. Good value for money. Loved the bonus coupons for the restaurant when we opted out of daily houskeeping.

The pool and hot tub were disappointing. The water was cloudy in both. The hot tub had some gunk in a ring around the edge of the water mark. There was a gate to go outside from the pool to lounge but it was pad locked and I mentioned it to a staff member that I passed on my way around from the inside to the outside but no one unlocked it. Overall didn't match the rest of the resort in level of cleanliness or style. We only used it once on our stay but would have used it more if it were better.

Stunning location...restaurant food excellent albeit expensive...pool and hot tub good but perhaps needs a bit of updating and refreshing. Lovely local area.

Some facilities in the room not particularly worthy of a "premier' hotel and considering the cost...paper cups and cutlery...would expect a proper cup/ mug...minor issue perhaps. On check in we were offered a voucher (think it was about 20 dollars ) to put towards a meal in the restaurant if we opted to not have room service during our stay - we declined as wished to have the room tidied and beds made although were perfectly willing to keep the same towels. We still did not receive a cleaning service on both days despite complaining.

Very spacious room with large balcony. Comfortable beds. The ever-changing view of the water from the balcony was spectacular. Sooke is a very quiet area and a perfect place if you enjoy nature. The restaurant is excellent and quite popular. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Be sure to check out the resident seals at the end of the attached pier.

The rate was perhaps a little high compared to similar properties

The hotel itself is beautiful and rooms are lovely. The design is modern with feeling of seaside coast. Bathrooms great and outside fire pit area brilliant. The food is excellent.

The spa and bar were closed for both days i was there no mention of this on website. This was my planned luxury trip and felt a bit let down that facilities were closed. Although staff were pleasant they seemed to focus on couples and suggesting experiences but not single people and only real interaction i got was at check in and check out.

Enjoyed the quiet room at the side with a view of the forest. It fit my mood after attending a yoga retreat during the day. The pool was great and hot tub lovely. Enjoyed the little bar for a glass of wine in the evening. The cafe was a life-line for my cappuccino in the morning.

Little parking glitch on the last night - no spaces- but was resolved.
