The bed was comfortable,, with lots of good pillows, although the sprung bedframe/base was squeaky when moving around. There is a shower/tub in bathroom with no shortage of hot water.I had a suite with kitchen, but didn't get mch use of it for the short time I was in the room.The location is perfect, by the Gorge and the Galloping Goose trail for those who love to walk or bike around. You can drive just about anywhere in Victoria ( Royal Jubilee Hospital, museums, Legislature Buildings, sea wall, Beacon Hill Park etc.) in around 15 minutes. Online check-in and check-out was convenient and requested early check-in was accommodated by the hotel. Also, lots of free parking around both sides of the hotel, convenient to rooms' access.

Breakfast was not included in price. Breakfast is served in Coachman restaurant; lunch and dinner in The Loft Pub., where, it seems, many boisterous locals hang out.

I truly appreciate the staff members, especially Charmaine. It was really nice that she remembered us from our previous visit and she knew why we were there visiting. I like that the Days Inn is next to the Gorge, and we have a beautiful view of downtown. As well as, the location is perfectly close to the Galloping Goose pathway, which makes getting to the ocean easier to watch the sunrises or sunsets 🌇. Plus, the Days Inn is also in walking distance to the Mayfair Mall and The Uptown Mall.

There isn't much that I didn't like about the Days Inn and the staff. The only little complaint I have is that it would be beneficial to guests if an ATM machine is accessible outside of the bar. Because we did need to use it, but it was not working. We ended up going to another place down the street to use their ATM machine.

As a stop over on road trip this hotel hit the mark , did not have lift for upper floor as was detailed so you would have to request 1st or ground floor ,but still facilities were great including the swimming pool , and entertainment which was a pleasant surprise , and not loud in room , staff always friendly and helpful and coffee from reception freshly brewed tasty ,the surrounding area seemed safe and parking was no issue , nice walk of 30 min to centre of Victoria , shopping mall also close by 10 min drive , thank you

Even though the building itself is pretty worn out and there is no elevator, inside the room was very clean and very well maintained. There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairdryer. The location is great, you can take a walk to the downtown or use water taxi near by.

The pillows were uncomfortable. We had a fridge, it was very loud, but we were able to turn it off. We stayed for 4 nights, but there was no room service. We could have claimed it, but we were OK with contributing to environmental sustainability.

Good value, central enough location (retail on Tillicum, on Douglas, or across the Gorge are a longish but do-able stroll, bus stop out front to downtown). Room matches photos, clean and tidy, everything worked. Great wifi, comfy enough bed, sufficient parking, not too noisy HVAC.

Side chair and desk chair were uncomfortable, but for the price were quite adequate. TV is Shaw/Rogers package (a personal dislike, not the hotel's fault)

Front-desk and all the employees are very friendly. Very clean. Nice pool (6-22h). Hotel is situated near the water. 2-3km to Chinatown/Downtown/Inner Harbour. There is a nice pedestrian & bike-trail (Galloping Goose Trail), mostly along the water. Water-taxi (15C$ for adults) from Inner Harbour stops close to Days Inn („Selkirk Landing“). Room with electric-kettle and tea/coffee (some with kitchenette). Breakfast in the breakfast-restaurant (omelette, eggs, pancakes, oat-meal, …) is very good (good portions). Thank you!!

WC was once clogged. Restaurant (in the pub) is just for adults.

Return visit as a very affordable option for Victoria. Staff are great and helped with a room change due to a problem with the door lock and also helped with trying to locate missing item. There are different rooms options and this one was smaller than we had before with a sink located outside the toilet/shower room. Ample free parking and easy drive/bus/taxi/water taxi/ scenic waterside walk to downtown.

No lifts so if you are not on the same floor as reception heavy luggage can be a problem, however the hotel does make you aware of this in advance. We ended up having to move rooms from our requested room to an upper level due to an issue with the door so this turned out to be an issue but the hotel did initially put us in a ground floor room as requested.

The room had everything we needed including self catering options & was quite spacious with comfy beds

Great overall but the only thing was the noises from other rooms. We heard peoples alarms & conversations early in the morning as if they were in our room, doors & footsteps from outside & above. But this is the only issue so if you’re not a light sleeper it wouldn’t be a concern. All else was great & front desk staff very helpful & proactive

The staff were very friendly and the air conditioning was amazing. It's literally the best I've experienced in a motel or hotel. The pillows were lovely, and the room seemed quite clean. Loved the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash pump in the shower.

The water in the shower fluctuated a lot, the beds are firmer than firm, the towels have a residue that makes drying off kinda strange, no light switch at the front door and there was something brown splashed on the wall to the left of the sink. The bed and the dirty wall were the only things that were really an issue. The other things I mentioned were just nit-picky things, and honestly, I understand that the bed was very firm to accommodate all the many people who will sleep on it. Can't have a soft bed; it'll need replacing faster

Our room was very simple but clean and inviting. Bathroom was plenty big and the climate control was perfect. Beautiful view from our room as well.

As much as I hate filling in this section, I always try to add something as a general knowledge for the hotel. This time, the only real complaint I had was the water temperature in the shower was all over the place. Not a big deal, but definitely worth noting.
