I.didnt expect a double bed! All of the beds were double beds which was great and you had you own little cubby hole to sleep in. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy and the facilities were very clean. I can't imagine staying there in the summer though with no Aircon.. the room was just bearable in November and it was 24°C

The rooms need more ventilation and aircon

Exceptionally kind, polite and helpful staff who would go to the moon and back to help you and patiently answer all your queries. Convenient location near the station and the high street, comfortable, warm, and clean dorm/room. Fully equipped kitchen and the star attraction is the heater at the reception which should be declared a tourist attraction esp. during the cold winter. PS: On my way back at the Hakone Yumoto station, I was interviewed by a Japanese TV channel. They asked me about my trip to Japan and the experience in Hakone, I have given a shout out to your lovely staff and hostel. Now, if you become world famous, then I am coming back to collect my royalties. :p :)

The location was great, close to the train, restaurants and shops. The common areas and the shared bathrooms were nice, clean and new. We also liked the vibe and how quiet it was, perfect to rest. Mattress was very comfortable even though it was small. Also there was a kitchen if you wanted to cook or chill there.

The size of the room was only a mattress on the floor, we couldn't stand up inside the room. But the mattress was comfortable. The space for the suitcases was a bit uncomfortable because sometimes everybody was there and you couldn't open your suitcase. Also we were on a first floor but some rooms are on the second floor and there's no elevator.

This was a very interesting place to stay and represents good value for money. It is similar to a capsule hotel, although the room is bigger than that; it comprises a kind of cupboard with a sliding door and is about 4' - 4' 6" high. There is more to it than just the mattress with enough space to store luggage in the room, although they also provide lockers in the corridor outside as an alternative. Obviously there is no en-suite bathroom, but a good ratio of communal facilities to the number of rooms, so there was never any queue to use the bathrooms or showers. Also, bear in mind that there are no windows, so the room is always dark until you switch on the light. There is however an electric socket, so it is easy to charge or plug-in any electrical appliance and also there was a communal fridge in the corridor for storing food and keeping drinks cool. There is also a communal kitchen although that seemed quite small for the number of guests staying at the hostel. They very helpfully gave me details in advance of the bus to catch from the railway station, although that bus only ran once an hour so if, like me, you just miss it, then it is about a 10-15 minute uphill walk. The tourist information centre outside the station gave me very good directions on how to get here.

The kitchen did not open until 8 a.m. Japan struck me as a an early-to-bed early-rise culture and so it was frustrating to have to wiat until 8 o'clock to get my coffee.

This property is in a great location (there is a steep slope right before you get there but it’s survivable). The sleeping cubicle has a double mattress and it was the most comfortable sleep I’ve had since I arrived in Japan a month ago. The bedroom area was nice and air conditioned during summer and there was a little fan to let air inside your cubicle. I liked that you were given a huge locker separated from the bedroom and they let me store my luggage in it before check in time.

The property itself is a little bit rough around the edges. But it felt safe, comfortable and clean enough, I would definitely recommend it for an affordable stay in Hakone close to the main part of town.

You get what you pay for at GuestHouse Azito. The staff were accommodating, helpful and friendly, however the rooms were very basic. Room size was fantastic and the location was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for space

We stayed in winter, and the heater in the room struggled. The bed sheets were a little gross (few stains here and there), but we didn't let this phase us as the rest of the room was clean. We walked from the train station, which is an easy walk, however with baggage the hill can be a challenge.

Incredible and kind staff, super helpful and welcoming! Coziest vibes, super comfy beds/capsules that felt private and were more spacious then I imagined. Everything at this price point was amazing, stayed an extra night to get a proper nights rest. Quiet and peaceful yet in the common area there’s still people to meet. Close to all the onsens and the main town area where you can eat/shop/take the buses to go sightseeing. Overall the experience I was hoping for, felt so at home would definitely stay here again! Thank you 💕🥰

Nothing !

The facilities are clean. Reception was very helpful and provided a map of where the nearby bus stops were, train station, konbini, onsens, restaurants, etc. They let you store your luggage if you're too early for check-in. If you're too lazy to go somewhere for a meal, the front desk serves some food and drinks and you can hang out in the lobby area.

It's a steep uphill walk if you're coming from Hakone-Yumoto station so be prepared for that.

Azito staff is very friendly and has a discount for nearby onsen. AZITO's recommendation for onsen and food is very good, the room is clean and has privacy that we need.

There were mosquitos as we went in summer.

We loved this place. Nice people at the reception, good kitchen and a really nice reception / bar space incl tatami room where we played in the evening. Good food and drinks as well. The capsules were excellent - well aired and temperatures (it was boiling hot outside). Super comfy mattresses and good and clean sheets - and it was also really quiet although all beds were taken. Nice washing rooms. Luggage boxes easily kept one large and one small suitcase each. It's really a lovely space that will always live in our hearts.

Nothing. It was excellent.
