The room was good, comfortable bed and nice bath/shower. Bar staff were lovely.

It is a shame that you have to pay extra to be able to use the pool - that is the main attraction to booking a spa hotel. Parking is expensive.

Location is good, we stayed to attend a team building event (Murder 57 - myrder mystery dinner) 11/10/24. Second time we've done this now. Check in quick and efficient, barstaff courteous and attentive.

The breakfast was awful, poor quality produce, limited choice, deep fried sausages, and bacon that was greasy with no taste. Not a mushroom in sight, and if you wanted egg, it's scrambled or scrambled. Paid for and stayed in a Privilege Room, no difference to a standard double a colleague had, other than the upgraded room, had a Mexican wave in the carpet which was about to rip. Last year health club facilities included in cost, this year additional charges implemented.

Brilliant Location.Lovely staff who looked after us in the bar area where we ate, and had a massive company Xmas Party enjoying a few drinks before their meal....although loud, they were all happy, enjoying themselves, and quite entertaining really! The room was nice, clean and comfy although a little tired.

Charging paying guests to use the pool, after we had already paid £15 to park. Maybe a concessionary rate perhaps? Leaving our car in the carpark to get absolutely covered in bird poo. I know they can't stop the birds being there but we then had to pay £15 to have it jet washed at a garage.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the spa facilities were awesome. Location was just fantastic - it meant we could pop back and forth at our leisure. Late checkout also meant we could relax for longer. Would 100% stay again.

£10 per person to use the jacuzzi etc is a bit tight - this should be included in the cost of the stay. I attended breakfast at 10am and there was very little left, and staff were slow to replace items. I also waited for several minutes in the buffet area after asking for vegetarian sausages, before being told by another waiter that I should sit down as it would take a while. Finally, the plates were incredibly hot yet there were no napkins available by the plates to minimise this.

Location was fantastic. 2 min walk and I was at the Cathedral and in the middle of Exeter. Staff were incredible. Very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Lots of interesting parking, and not badly priced (£15 per 24hrs). Loads of space and amenities in the suite made it worth the upgrade.

The room was really cold. Even with the 2 provided electric heaters and the heating as high as it would go. The suite could have done with a little TLC (paint peeling on the wall, toilet roll holder was loose, little things like that). The restaurant menu was very limited.

Everything and everyone. The staff and house-keeping team go above and beyond for you. The last few times we have been they have welcomed us with open arms, given our children treats on arrival, gone out of their way to accommodate us (in an upgraded room) when our train was cancelled twice and we were unable to travel home. The team are always happy to look after our bags so we can head into Exeter, always smiling and always offer further assistance if you need anything. The hotel itself is stunning, especially at Christmas time. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the drinks are lovely. Room service is available and the breakfast is delicious. This really is the best hotel in the whole of Exeter.

Location. a quiet room. was high up. Good shower. Mini fridge ( not stocked) Large comfortable bed. Fast lifts.

Housekeeping was poor. Wet towels left in shower as requested wasn't changed just hung back on rails. Tissues in bathroom wasn't replaced at all. Tea/coffee only refreshed at bare minimum [ chocolate not replaced at all ) Liquid shower gel in shower had ran out after first night & not replaced at all. Two nights bed not made properly. Window has massive gap at top, good job it wasn't winter. Paid top price for room ( £680 for 4 nights ) & quality didn't match price

Excellent (paid for) pool. Lovely hotel. 5 minutes walk to centre. Nice lobby. Welcome drinks. Helpful staff.

Room 146. Bathroom fan not working. Holder in shower for things missing. What looked like black mold above shower. Clearly maintainance lacking. Breakfast was terrible. Warmed up frozen stuff. Streaky bacon instead of proper bacon. No one cooking anything. I'd pass on breakfast if booking again. Rated 3.5 to 4 out of 10. Worst element of the stay in a hotel I otherwise quite liked. For comparison, hotel in plymouth, a similar rating, but cheaper, had lovely English breakfast cooked to order. Next hotel, Belgium, similar price had chief to cook omlet on demand and nice buffet food. I would stay again, but room only.

We loved the location, bar area and the vibe it had downstairs. We did not get to use the leisure facilities, so we can't comment on that section. We stayed here to get married and it provided a wonderful entrance and exit on my wedding day. The food was superb and the dining area was exquisite.

The only gripe that we had was that the bed rooms are in need of modernisation and tlc (the bathroom was an exception) and things that you would expect from a privilege room such as branded coffee, not a cheap alternative. More attention to detail would add to better value for money. Our window would not stay open, the TV was very dated and the extractor fan no longer worked in the bathroom.
