Great location, easy walking distance to all the great sites Alnwick has to offer. Bus stop 2 mins from the front door for trips to Alnmouth, Warkworth, Craster and beyond, and the local railway station at Alnmouth. Excellent communication with Darren the owner, with clear instructions on how to get in. I was able to drop my bag off early so I could get on with sightseeing. I had a single room in the attic (room 5) which was small but well laid out, great comfy bed with nice linen, good shower, coffee/tea making facilities in my room with fresh milk in the fridge was a big plus. Fantastic breakfast with loads of options, including a takeaway for my early bus to the station! Didn’t want for more! (Definitely visit Banter Books (see attached pics!), the biggest secondhand bookshop in the old Victorian railway station building with fantastic food in the buffet and cosy dining around open fires in the various old waiting rooms! Model trains run about above some of the bookcases in the old ticket hall. You could spend hours there, I did!! All this just 100 metres from EveAnna!)

Nothing really.

Situated next door to Lidl (which in itself is ideal), the location of EveAnna was excellent both for access to Alnwick and also the surrounding countryside. The single room was spotlessly clean and although a little small it had everything that a single traveller needs; good hot drinks, biscuits, a fridge with fresh milk, warm, and instant hot water in the shower. Darren, the host was very friendly and helpful and the lady that came in to cook breakfast was lovely and produced a superb breakfast. Apart from the cooked meal, everything else you helped yourself to which was a great idea. All in all, a perfect stay!

Nothing - everything was excellent.

I was staying here for a good friends, daughters wedding. He found the place and told us to book it. I was overjoyed it is right next to barter books! Parking is easy round the side. It is gorgeous outside and once we were inside we were greeted by Darren who was entirely welcoming and lovely. The property is beautiful has a lovely homely feel about it. We have stayed at a lot of hotels which think the bare gray walls with no character are great…and put not thought into the people staying… but this place was NOT that… Our room was gorgeous. Huge! Brilliant thought out. I loved the touches of a make up towel, which was so helpful, a little bag of make up pads and cotton buds was so thoughtful for us ladies! There was a fridge with nice cool canters of water! A lovely tea tray with little Kit Kat biscuits! Alas I couldn’t eat those being intolerant but Gav he loved getting two! I loved the prints and pieces of artwork on the walls. A beautiful ornate fireplace too… and the bed was soooo comfortable. We had a huge tv! And even WiFi. The bathroom was spotless and I really liked the touch of putting plastic piping on the pull switches to minimise muck and germs. I am pinching this idea for home! We had plenty of soaps and washes which is great than those silly little bottles and environmentally better! Black out curtains meant that we had a fantastic sleep. The place was so quiet so had a lush sleep! Pillows were amazing comfy! One of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a stay over! No banging doors or uncomfortable sleep it was wonderful! I was up and ready for barter books after a night at the wedding… Breakfast was honestly sensational. I was worried I wouldn’t have any options being gluten free and dairy free. I normally get anxious at telling places about what I can’t eat. But they had soya milk so I could have tea! The orange juice was lovely! Plenty to choose from spoilt for choice.

The only feedback I would like to give is to get some lights for the pathway up to the property, we had to use the torches on our phones. That’s it every thing was perfect!

The location was great - just a 10 minute walk into Alnwick and even shorter to the Castle and Gardens. The breakfast was outstanding. Plenty of choice if you wanted a Continental type of breakfast and the hot breakfast was piping hot and generous portions - really good. The communication with us leading up to our arrival was excellent - very clear. And plenty of recommendations of good places to eat.

My sister and I were in Room 4, the top room. It was a twin ensuite and fulfilled that remit but if I'm being pernickety, it did feel a little cramped for 2 people. There was very little storage space. The wifi was patchy that weekend. I don't know whether that was because we were at the top of the house or there was a problem with the internet generally. We were probably just unlucky.

Fantastic, friendly host and staff who offer a wealth of useful knowledge of the area, from bars and restaurants to local walks and places of interest. The rooms were great with everything you would need. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and locally sourced produce. The full English was superb. There was also a great range of fresh fruits, cereals and drinks. It was a real pleasure to spend our time here and we will definitely be staying here again as the hotel is in a perfect location for exploring this lovely part of the country.

We enjoyed the company of the host Darren… he was entertaining, engaging and very helpful. The pre visit instructions were useful and probably the most comprehensive we’ve seen! Parking was easy, free and very convenient. Our room (no 3) was lovely a good size and with a nice view to the front of the property. EveAnna is convenient for the nice market town of Alnwick… we walked into the town for dinner on both nights of our stay and it was a 10-15 mins stroll depending where you went. Breakfast was good with northern ‘doorstep’ toast. Set you up for the day. The non cooked items are self service (as I was gently reminded by Darren when seeking toast 😊😁). The fridge provided in the room was helpful. All in all a really good hotel… would recommend highly!

Nothing really…

Fab location for access to Alnwick Town, Gardens and Castle. Barter Books is also less than a 5 minute walk and well worth an explore, especially if you're an avid reader! Supermarket on the doorstep was super handy for snacks and it was a bonus to have parking given the costs and time restrictions of the carparks in the area. Breakfast was lovely as was the ease of access on arrival. Slept like a log, just what I needed for my overnight stay in Alnwick. Thank you!

There was a bit of a smell coming from the sink in the bedroom. It wasn't a huge issue and only noticeable closer to it but may be worth a look for future guests, just with it being in the bedroom opposed to a separate bathroom.

Friendly B&B in a lovely Victorian house located a short walk to the centre. There was an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. The room had a mini fridge and there were two flasks of cold water and some fresh milk left for us which was a nice touch.

The window blind let in a bit too much light but the shape of the window didn’t help. I am a light sleeper and being on the top floor meant that unfortunately I was a bit disturbed by what I assume were roosting birds who clearly could not keep still during the early hours however my son was absolutely fine.

This is a brilliant Bed & Breakfast. Darren and Joanne were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome indeed. Our rooms were comfortable, quiet and had some really thoughtful touches, such as chilled water in the fridge (having a fridge is really great in the first place!); also the parking was surprisingly easy so close to the town centre. Breakfast was excellent - self-serve for a really good range of cold food, and hot food made to order. Best B&B we've ever stayed in - I really hope we can stay again.

Genuinely can't think of anything!

The room is very clean and the house is conveniently located to walk into Alnwick. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Furniture and bathroom are dated. We travelled with small luggage so the size of the room did not matter so much, otherwise it would have been too small. The path to the front door is uneven and dark in the evening which is a bit of a stuggle if you have walking issues. Breakfast was ok but very green bananas and a display of cereals/bread from the discount supermarket opposite not so appealing.
