The Apple Inn were excellent with communication before the trip. The staff were polite and attentive from the moment we arrived until our departure. The Shepherd's Hut was clean, warm and well equipped with tea, coffee, biscuits, log burner, e.t.c. The food at the Apple Inn was delicious and a good portion size. Nice to have a discount on food too for staying. Full English breakfast was a great start to our journey home. We would definitely stay again. Thank you.

No real issues, just minor niggle. The fairy lights looked beautiful, but didn't turn off until 11:30. A dimmer lighting would have been nicer to make the most of the dark skies while retaining safety.

We are regular visitors to the Apple inn and know we will get good service, a clean comfortable room and that we can take our little dog along too. Our dog even got his own sausage at breakfast time! The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The food in the Apple inn is amazing. The breakfasts are huge and fill you up until tea time!! All the staff a lovely. Very welcoming and accommodating. It’s an easy short drive to the coast and all the lovely beaches and castles etc. We will most definitely be back next year !

Only a small niggle. There was a nest in the corner of our window and the glass on the window below was very dirty with bird droppings. I can appreciate these things happen. But maybe try and deter the birds building the nest there in the first place.

Really lovely breakfast and evening meals. Great staff. Clean and quiet surroundings. We stayed in a shepherd's hut under the trees in what was possibly previously a garden. We did not bring the dogs but this accommodation is clearly very dog friendly. Location really convenient for both Bamburgh, sea cruises from Seahouses, Lindisfarne and, had we had more time, Alnwick and other historic sites.

Slept with the windows open as without that the hut was a bit hot not helped by the fact that the water heater and towel rail were continually on and emitted a lot of heat. Otherwise a really great and relaxing short trip away.

Shepherd's hut was as expected.

The hut was chilly when we got there and we were given instructions to light the fire and told we mustn't open the door - but my husband - who is used to lighting wood stoves - found the only way to get the fire going was to open the door a crack. There were knobs on the bottom of the stove that might help with this so perhaps this could be explained. Essential to have eye blinds as there is a sky light over where you are sleeping. Perhaps there is a blind but not obvious how to close it - an explanation would be good. The following morning there were two dogs yapping at each other in the hut yard. One small thing at breakfast, my husband had to request toast. When he got the toast he had to request jam. When the jam came he got one tiny pot. We just thought this was a bit odd.

All food was very good & tasty. Desserts were exceptional. All the staff were very friendly, helpful & welcoming. They were only too happy to help. Our room was very nice, clean & comfortable, with a very good en-suite. There were good facilities in our room, which was very comfortable & clean. Lovely quiet countryside location.

Our room was very warm due to the rarity of the British Summer LOL!!!. The staff had very kindly put a fan in our room, but we still had to have our windows open. As a result, & this is only a very slight negative, we could hear the background hum of equipment through the night, which I assume was from the kitchen area. It wasn't a major issue, but still took longer to get to sleep than normal :-). Breakfast could do with an additional offering of fresh fruit as non available.

This is a complex of inn, huts and self catering with a nice restaurant. We stayed in the D'Arcy Suite above the inn and had a comfortable stay. Breakfasts are tasty and there are numerous choices. The staff was lovely, so helpful if we had a request. It is located in the countryside, a short drive outside of Bamburgh in a quiet area. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the food was good and well presented.

We generally stay closer to town so we can walk to dinner so having to drive to other places was not as convenient. This is not a criticism of the Inn, just a personal preference.

The shepherd’s hut was fantastic. Really comfortable, well appointed and clean as a whistle. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant in the main building were great. It’s in a pleasant little village with an easy drive to Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. I had a lovely stay.

Being booked into breakfast at a specific time didn’t bother me, but I could see it annoying some people. Lovely breakfast though. When you are here, no other pub or bar is within walking distance, and the bar tariff seems to reflect that. Six quid for a pint of beer is a little steep in my opinion.

The place was lovely and our room was superb. 3 of us stayed in a room which was complete with everything we needed for 1 night. plenty of tea/coffee, completely toiletries, 2 TVs, separate sleeping area for 3 rd guest which was a pull out sofa bed and was very comfortable. the room was decorated to a hight standard, clean, modern and big. would definitely stay again. would like to try one of Thier Shepherd Huts next time, they looked lovely too.

you could hear the music from the pub downstairs. but it didn't bother us too much and was turned off at a reasonable time at night. .

This property should charge more we absolutely loved this place. We stayed in the D’arcy suite it was a very big clean comfortable bed the bathroom was clean and the shower was the most powerful we’ve ever had Perfect ! There was also a nice seating area and two tvs one for if you were watching in bed and one if you were in the seating area. The staff were so so friendly and could not do enough for you. The food was gorgeous especially the breakfast, what a breakfast choice amazing and that was included in the price. We will be back as soon as possible well done apple 🍎 inn

Stayed in one of the fab little shepherd huts over the road from the pub, loads of thought gone into them, great facilities, decorated nicely, little space and chairs provided to sit outside. Drinks and dinner were perfect, food a little expensive, but if you want quality and presentation, this is norm. All staff were so helpful and friendly, everywhere in the pub itself looked brand new and expensively decorated/furnished. Lucker is a quiet little village with a pretty stream running at the back of the huts, great area for taking a stroll. Looking forward to returning!

The fairy lights around the huts were left on all night which lit up inside too much, and hubby likes to sleep in the dark. But I guess they need to be on for safety if returning late to the accommodation etc
