Lovely large room. Staff very helpful and respectful over all a fantastic stay breakfast quite good, bar area beautiful and cozy very big. Gardens superb. Swimming pool & sauna great. However was not happy having to pay for pool use and hotel car park £ 25 per night was ridiculous had too park ekes were for only £6 for 24 hours.
Paying for use of swimming pool & sauna. Having no where to smoke late at night garden closes 18.00 as guest within garden areas may be disturbed. So myself & my sister-in-law had to sit on a wall outside in are night ware at the front entrance of the hotel. A little uneasy as there was several very drunk people passing by us. Trying to talk etc. other than that 8 out of 10 very happy with r weekend. Thanx Tina

1- Location is brilliant, 5-6 mins from Bournemouth Pier 2- The building is gorgeous. Apparently first hotel in Bournemouth. The pub is so beautiful and live. 3- Beautiful garden, tables to grab a drink, area for kids to play around, decks to enjoy sun 4- Rooms are beautiful, reasonably good size, clean and nice 5- we couldn't use the gym and swimming pool, they close at 7:30 or 8:30 pm. The only feedback I could give is to extend the opening time of their leisure centre. Note to travellers: If you find parking expensive (it's £25 per day at the hotel), there's a parking nearby, called Centre Parking, which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and costs you £6.4 for 24 hours. (not the one next to the hotel, only search Centre Parking) Loved it.
There was no fridge in the room.

It's a big beautiful old hotel with a lot of areas. I had no problems at all and the staff was very nice. I was afraid to stay here due to some bad reviews I saw but it was indeed a good place. Me and my wife were very glad to have chosen this one.
There's some minor things that could be better, but didn't interfere on my staying here. Some rooms are far from the entrance, you can get lost in the corridors/stairs :)

Lovely gardens and patio area to sit and enjoy the sunshine and gardens. The staff are very friendly and helpful and go out their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and clean and bright and some rooms have lovely sea views. I like the location which is so close to the beach and Lower gardens and pavilion. It’s also close to the Pavilion where all the great show’s happen. This is a traditional Victorian hotel and it’s spacious and has entertainment going on at the weekends and holidays. It’s recently been going through a refurbishment and it being freshened up. The spa is just great and it’s just so lovely to recharge and have a swim and sauna. I had a great stay and will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the reception staff and room service people.

The gardens at the Royal Bath hotel are really lovely and there’s a great outdoor patio area to sit and relax in the sunshine. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and go out their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are clean and bright with there are lovely sea view rooms at the back of the hotel. I really like the spacious rooms and the location which is a stones throw to the beach, it’s also close to the Bournemouth Pavilion for all the theatre shows, music & concerts, comedy, dance shows. It’s close to the Bournemouth Lower garden’s, which has all the Christmas lights and markets . This is a traditional Victorian hotel which has spacious bar area and restaurants also communal areas to read or relax. It’s been going through an upgrade programme recently and freshened up. There’s good entertainment in the main bar at the weekends and the spa area is just a treat to relax and recharge at.

I only ever come and stay at the Royal bath hotel when I come to Bournemouth it’s got a really special place in my heart I love how old this hotel is and I’m quite happy. It’s had a little bit of a fresh lick of pain inside as I feel like it needed that. I paid for a room that was meant to not have a window and when we arrived, the woman had upgraded us and we had a Seaview and I actually cried when I got into the room because it was so beautiful
I do think the bathrooms are a little bit outdated could do with a good revamp I had a bath on the Sunday morning and there was black bits coming out of the pipes in my bath. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable when I sat in there.

I would firstly like to say a huge thank you to Dave, Khato and Remy (also Elejei and Mencia) for making our stay so much better, and all of whom took extra time to ensure our stay was exceptional. Service was great as was the food. Since work began to refurbish this beautiful hotel, it’s amazing. Every Friday in August there is a fireworks display, which I found was much better than any bonfire night display I’ve ever seen! Overall, a brilliant stay, beautiful gardens, beer garden area to rear of hotel, spa, swimming pool and sauna - I believe there is also a beauty salon too. So close to the beach and pier, golden sands and lots of lovely places to see. If you’re not going half board, but just staying for breakfast, there are a lot of beautiful restaurants, especially The Griller, which is literally less than a 30 second walk from the front of the hotel. Definitely staying again. So relaxing, and with Bournemouth being a microclimate, you can pretty much guarantee very good weather. The Royal Bath & Spa Hotel is great for singles, couples, friends, groups etc - children love it too - the age range goes from 1 to 100 tee hee xxx loved it and I highly recommend.

We have stayed many times. The location, the building, the gardens are all outstanding and the recent refurbishments are going a long way to restoring it to how it must have looked like when it was a 5* hotel many years ago. It is a classy hotel but very reasonably priced. All the staff - managers, restaurant staff, receptionists, cleaners, maintenance men - are lovely. Hard-working, attentive and pleasant.
We found a cheesy Wotsit on one of the armchairs. Also the coffee machine had stale water in it. Both of these things were off-putting which brought the rating down slightly. The mattresses are not always comfortable, depending on which room you are in. I think some have seen better days - Brittania Hotels should invest in better ones to ensure a good night's sleep.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been. Feels like inside museum. So stunning decor inside. Also lovely room with balcony view to the beach and lovely garden. We had and hair dryer, and small fridge, and Tv.and iron. Nice helpfull staff. We got half board and it was right decision - food was simple, but delicious like at home, enough choice for any taste. We have been also in swimming pool. Great experience. Water was lovely warm. Clean area. Nice pool size, area for children woith 0.6 m and other part 1.2 m. I paid £5 for myself and free for my 6 yo child. This payment is for whole day. Reception guys were very polite and attentive. We left our bags after check out for few hours on reception while walk around the city. Then lady on reception booked taxi for us. Highly recommend it this hotel
All was great

The hotel is located at a nice location really close to the beach, restaurants and city center also a walking distance from the train station. The room was really nice and clean with a garden right outside. Also, the garden was well kept, beautiful and relaxing. My stay was really peaceful and woke up to birds chirping in the mornings which was lovely. There was also a live band playing at the lounge on one of the evenings. The staff at the hotel were lovely. Checking in and checking out was quick.
Internet connection/Wi-Fi. I couldn’t use my mobile data.
