It's a big beautiful old hotel with a lot of areas. I had no problems at all and the staff was very nice. I was afraid to stay here due to some bad reviews I saw but it was indeed a good place. Me and my wife were very glad to have chosen this one.

There's some minor things that could be better, but didn't interfere on my staying here. Some rooms are far from the entrance, you can get lost in the corridors/stairs :)

I would firstly like to say a huge thank you to Dave, Khato and Remy (also Elejei and Mencia) for making our stay so much better, and all of whom took extra time to ensure our stay was exceptional. Service was great as was the food. Since work began to refurbish this beautiful hotel, it’s amazing. Every Friday in August there is a fireworks display, which I found was much better than any bonfire night display I’ve ever seen! Overall, a brilliant stay, beautiful gardens, beer garden area to rear of hotel, spa, swimming pool and sauna - I believe there is also a beauty salon too. So close to the beach and pier, golden sands and lots of lovely places to see. If you’re not going half board, but just staying for breakfast, there are a lot of beautiful restaurants, especially The Griller, which is literally less than a 30 second walk from the front of the hotel. Definitely staying again. So relaxing, and with Bournemouth being a microclimate, you can pretty much guarantee very good weather. The Royal Bath & Spa Hotel is great for singles, couples, friends, groups etc - children love it too - the age range goes from 1 to 100 tee hee xxx loved it and I highly recommend.

The staff was very helpful and always there to help you with any issues that you may have. The hotel has changed for the better since we were here last, which was a good few years ago. We had a very bad experience,we put us into the worst room in the hotel, both my husband and I were covered in flea bites and needed medical treatment when we got home, that put us off going back until this time, if you are going to have pets stay then they need to have had flea treatment before going into rooms.I'm also allergic to cats,so I need to be careful about going anywhere were have been cats staying.

We had a lovely room,I think the best room we have had. So we had no complaints. But if need to say something ,why do we have to pay for the use of the swimming pool?

Value for money was incredible. My room was large, with everything one needs (apart from a safe). Bathroom was also good. Decor was a bit dated and the temperature may be a bit hot for some but for me, it was just fine. The hotel is located on the seafront next to many restaurants for those who don’t fancy eating at the hotel. There is also a nice little spa with a beautiful pool. It’s an extra £5, which was well worth it in my opinion. I’ll be happy to stay there again if I need to stay in Bournemouth in the future.

The reception staff was a bit short, be it on email or in person, but that’s about it.

Good hotel plenty of facilities, people and staff friendly, location was excellent. Got a good view this time as well. Good entertainment at night too. Breakfast was good once you found everything and got used to the toaster....

No Wifi in the room, bit expensive if you wanted it for a day at a time. Maybe pay £10 a week would be better? Or a £1 for half an hour, because whose going to spend their time in their room all day on wifi ? Also the shower in my room didn't work, I got by but I prefer showers because if I get in a bath it takes longer, and I only had so much time. But the name of the hotel is obviously biased towards people taking a bath. I did go for a swim in the swimming pool though.

We enjoyed the friendly staff and super period character of the Hotel. We were given a free upgrade on arrival to a very nice room with garden/sea view. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Bournemouth is a lovely victorian seaside town and so this original victorian Hotel gives the feel perfectly. The Manager Dave was very welcoming and full of helpful information to make our visit as enjoyable as possible.

We are surprised at some of the negative comments because we found it all good and enjoyable. Any building of that age has bits that need a little tlc but that's to be expected. But it's full of authentic character and genuine style.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly, especially Dave the Deputy Manager who showed us to our upgraded room. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for this surprise as I did mention that my wife is currently undergoing chemotherapy and asked if it was possible to have a sea view room. The hotel had gone out of their way and blew our perception out of the water. The rooms view was outstanding, on the third floor, with exceptional views all over Bournemouth front from East to West. The room was really clean also. Breakfast was great and delicious and we also paid for the Buffet meal one evening which was great value for money and good choice. We also used the Spa which we also thoroughly enjoyed.

Maybe a bit more choice on the buffet for main course and dessert.

The staff were excellent and gave us a free upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room was lovely and spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good, all laid out with ease to find what you need, staff were lovely and attentive. Check in and out were easy processes, which made it so simple and was really nice that the duty manager showed us to our room and even helped with our belongings.

There wasn't much to grumble about really, we were unfortunate to be in a room next to someone who thought it was OK to make a racket at 3am by banging about, soon piped down when I shouted for them to give it a rest at 4am! lol.... The only down points at breakfast were undrinkable coffee, tasted awful even with sugar added. Plus the porridge was like gloop, even adding apricot jam couldn't save it, very minor issues though. What we didn't like, someone else may love.

This is a beautiful, historic, and affordable hotel in a prime location, right in front of the beach. I went alone, and it was exactly what I needed. The bed is comfortable. If you are like me and appreciate old architecture, you will like it. Breakfast and lunch are not that expensive and good enough.

As it is an affordable hotel, many people stay there, so you may be staying next to a noisy group or couple. But that happens in every hotel. During the day, my room was a bit cold, but at night it was warm. People at the reception could project more interest and attention.

Size of hotel was impressive and lounge near bar had very comfortable sofas

I booked 2 rooms and asked for them to be close together as 1 room was for my father who's had a stroke and is unable to talk but also gets confused easy, the other room was for myself and my mum who has alziehmers , I told hotel of the situation but they put us in 2 rooms that where quite far from Each other, corridors, steps and quite a few doors away. My father never found our room once, and continously got lost ,he was always inside hotel luckily . Just thought 2 rooms next to each other should have been so easy to allocate.
