The Hotel were very accommodating to our change in circumstances, taking a very small dog with us for the first time was daunting but the Hotel were excellent!! Communications through Booking.com was easy, virtually immediate and 'Super' accommodating! A fantastic, professional and warm welcome at the Reception. Our bedroom had been newly refurbished and was a family room. Large with plenty of room. The room and the bathroom were spotless. A real credit to the House Keeping staff. Breakfast was basic but well cooked and a lovely choice of items with plenty of coffee too. Bed's were comfortable and very large. Just perfect!!!!!! Thank you for a great stay!!
Black pudding in the cooked breakfast needs to be changed as very cagey in the mouth, either a 'Stornaway or Isle of Skye Black pudding' would have made the breakfast perfect. Everything else was brilliant!!

The National hotel was a great find! It was off the beaten path. We had two rooms, the suite was awesome, a fabulous shower and bathroom, very comfortable and clean bed, nice view from the windows. The second room was 3 twins, perfect for our 3 teenagers. Hotel has a great hot, fresh breakfast, bar and a banquet room for parties. We were there for 2 nights while exploring the Scottish Highlands. Would definitely like to come back one day. This place is up and coming, great staff who are dedicated to your comfort.
The only thing I would have changed is give that suite access to the balcony, so we can sit out there and have coffee or drinks. Your hotel is GREAT!

Went to watch the football, Ross County vs Rangers. National is ideally located, beside Inverness bus stop, football ground, and the train station. It's a cheap and cheerful hotel, becoming slightly shabby and creaky, due, presumably to lack of investment by successive owners. However, there's everything you need - apart from a hairdryer, but I'm sure you could get one at reception - including tea and coffee, shower stuff and both additional heater and cooling fan. Staff are friendly and helpful, although perhaps overworked due to the influx of Rangers fans for the game. Will certainly consider booking again for next game.
Only negative I can think of is water wasn't particularly hot either in sink or shower. However as it's still technically the summer, albeit in the Highlands of Scotland, that's allowed

This hotel being in a small remote like village, the building has its old look about its self and once inside has that old/rustic feeling towards it. Floors later with tartan and has that Scot vibe! Has the creaky floorboards which just add to that old feeling, but it’s not a bad feeling it’s just a cozy feeling! Overall a very very nice hotel for the price/area if your interested in doing the NC500
The shower, we both had a shower and didn’t find the experience very nice!! The temperature was very up and down despite not changing dial, one minute freezing and the next boiling hot.

Went to see a football match. Hotel ideally located, some seven minutes away from ground and one minute from bus stop and train station. Receptionist very friendly, efficient, and helpful - she very quickly arranged for colleague to fix broken tv remote. Breakfast staff equally good and nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall very good value for money, and I will certainly stay again.
My only quibble was no hairdryer which I'm sure would have been provided had I asked. Arguably TV remote should have been working already, but this is a reasonably common occurrence in any hotel

Located on the High Street - handy for shops, not too busy! Facilities very adequate for a short stay. We didn't have dinner so can't comment on the main food. Breakfast was good though not a huge choice which was fine and good value for the price we paid.
No-one was on reception when we arrived, and no-one was there when we checked out though no doubt they were busy. When we found someone to check us in, everything was fine and we were allocated a comfortable room.

Staff very helpful. Nice central location handy for our break. We had to terminate our break earlier than planned due to a family emergency at home and only stayed 2 nights 29th and 30th December. We had paid for 3 nights to 31st December owner advised us to contact booking .com to see if we could be refunded 1 night we had paid for. Booking ref is 3214260189. Owner says he will confirm we left early to booking.com if necessary. Can we be refunded the night we didn't use please. Many thanks in advance. Philip Duncan

Evening meal on arrival and breakfast in the morning were both very good with a good choice. Aĺl the staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. After being shut for a period of time, the new team are obviously working to return the hotel to its formal glory, which will take time.
Our room was located close to the public bar area, so it was very noisy until about 1am. Should we plan to stay again, we would request a room further away from the public bar area.

Clean, modern bathroom. Good buffet breakfast, Great location in the centre of a historic Highland town, but with nevertheless, plenty of free car parking.
The hotel was very hot, despite no heating having been on - I think this was a problem with many Scottish hotels we stayed in, which were built for a colder time before Global Warming - not the fault of the proprietors.
