The hotel was beautiful, very festive, modern, unique in its decor. Really impressed. Room was big enough, beds super comfy and cosy room. We asked for a quiet room, this was provided, had the usual chatter from passing guests in the corridors but didnt affect our stay

Parking...lots of reviews about parking. They do give you a discount code for parking around a 29 minute walk away from the hotel. Not good if alone or with children at night - in winter from 4pm I wouldnt feel safe walking back from the carpark in the dark. We chose the NCP across the road £28 for 7 - 24 hrs parking. Worth factoring in this cost when choosing your hotel

The double bed was large and comfortable. We could have done with an extra cushion(s) on the bed as the headboard was hard. The TV had a very sharp picture. There was good hanging space. The shower was easy to operate. The room was an average size. It was quite noisy outside when the window was open but aircon was available. We liked to restaurant Oddsocks. The food served there was good, especially the pizzas and there was a good choice of drinks at the bar. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. There were comfortable chairs and sofas provided in the lounge areas on the ground and lower ground floors.

The bathroom was small and the shower was directly into the bath rather than a cubicle. We could have dome with a low table for one of the suitcases. The reception area was a bit strange with no main imposing desk.

Arrival/1st impressions When Myself and my wife arrived earlier than the checking in time the receptionist was very friendly/helpful and we were allowed to check in early which was excellent. The receptionist also explained times of breakfast/where breakfast was served and the cleaning services Room The room was excellent and very clean Bed This was comfortable Cleaning The room was cleaned every day to very high standards. The cleaning staff were very friendly - the cleaners were very surprised that I knew a few Romanian Greetings and were eager to teach me a few more Breakfast/staff in breakfast room The staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice Location of hotel The hotel was close to all the areas of Manchester Centre, and close to the Metro The main reason we came to Manchester was to see "Mrs. Brown Rides Again" at the Manchester Opera House which was very close. There were plenty of pubs/restaurants /supermarkets close by

Every thing during our stay was excellent On checking out of the hotel we both made it clear to all the staff that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again/recommend the hotel to other people

I’m so pleased for being able to express my deepest gratitude to the staff, in particular to Mr. Ian Keating who seems to be a genuinely very helpful and professional person. He got the solution for my room concerns making the best staying I could have ever expected. All my best recommendations for travellers who want to rest in a quiet place. Location and facilities are just wonderful (hairdryer, kettle, ironing board, great shower kit, etc). Thank you Mr. Keating once again. You are a star :-)

The only thing I found uncomfortable was the bad smell of cigarettes coming from the bathroom, otherwise, it was all amazing.

Room was really homely and a spacious bathroom. Really appreciated the heated mirror in the bathroom as well, felt like I was back in Japan. The woman checking me in was also very friendly and courteous and made effort to make conversation.

Bathroom lighting was quite dim, would have appreciated a proper light instead of just from the mirrors. Also I had another last minute traveller with me and was a little disappointed being questioned as to why there is another guest. I’ve already pre booked the room as 1 guest but it slept 3 at least so unsure why it’s not in my discretion to have someone I want to stay 1 night, that wasn’t appreciated.

The room was amazing. Super comfortable and quiet. Reception was super friendly and tried to help me out with additional requests.

nothing - parking was a little pricy but it was a NCP location so nothing to do with the hotel.

The hotel was fantastic - by far the best I've stayed in for the cost. Lovely room with everything I needed, quiet, comfortable bed, small fridge and roomy bath (which I'd requested). Lounge area downstairs was large and comfortable. I was allowed to check in when I arrived to drop bags 1.5 hours early. I liked the decor - bright and attractive as well as functional. There was a restaurant and cafe on site which I didn't use.

Couldn't fault anything except that the fire alarm went off at 1.45am on the second night, which was a pretty big fault, but obviously doesn't happen often. It was a false alarm, horribly loud inside the room and went on for a long time, necessitating getting up and dressed and leaving the room. I felt there should have been an acknowledgement and apology to guests who were disturbed and (as in my case) unable to get back to sleep afterwards. When I checked out the next morning it wasn't mentioned until I mentioned it, and I felt the severity of the experience was minimised.

The beds were comfortable and clean. You can't hear any noise coming from outside or in the next rooms. Slept like a log all night. The hotel itself is in a superb location and close to many bars and resteraunts. If you want to venture out to the other side of the city, it's not a far walk either. Staff are friendly, with lemon water and sometimes iced tea offered, which is great when you've been walking back and are now dying for a quick drink. Pricing for the rooms was amazing considering the standard of the hotel. Definitely found my new go-to place whenever I stay in Manchester!

The rooms were a little dusty in places, which meant that my friend and I were sneezing a lot 😂 but other than that, there is nothing bad to say.

The location was excellent as we were going to the palace theatre. The hotel has a beautiful welcoming fragrance in reception. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Everywhere was clean and well presented.

Our room was very warm, even with the air conditioning. Breakfast was great value, full English buffet. Due to Dietary requirements they made me a fresh breakfast in the kitchen to save any cross contamination, this was great but they never came to my table to ask me what I liked so when my breakfast arrived there were things on my plate I didn’t like, I think this could be improved. What I did eat was lovely.

Great location to explore the city. Walkable from the station and other areas of the city within 20mins or less! I requested a room in the quiet area of the hotel and i got a room in the back overlooking the canal and seeing the boats pass by was really nice. Hotel room was clean, comes with the usual kettle, hair dryer, towels etc but having an iron+ironing board was a nice plus. Airconditioner worked well although I didn’t need it as it was cold and windy on my days there! Smooth check in and check out process. Great lobby area. Breakfast had a good selection but I wish there was more variety on their continental offerings.
