Very comfortable bed, with super bed linen. It was a Friday night, but the area is pretty quiet for a city centre hotel, so we slept very well. We very much liked the water dispenser on the corridor, with chilled and ambient filtered water for the kettle and carafe provided in the room. All staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful. We had the hotel breakfast, which was very good, fresh orange juice and decent coffee, with a good range of quality foods to choose from, including fresh fruits.

Very little. A petty thing though, if we were staying longer, is the lack of where to hang towels once in use. We placed a hand towel on the edge of the sink and bath sheets over the shower screen. There are hooks on the back of the bathroom door, but we used those for robes etc needed to be kept dry.

I had a lovely double bed room, there was a filtered water dispenser outside the lifts to top up in the in room jug or your own bottle. It had all the amenities I needed for my stay.

The ceiling, as beautiful as it it with the wooden beams, was very low for me. Even at 5ft 8 I was concerned about hitting my hand on the ceiling whilst putting a T-shirt on, or using the hairdryer. With my room over looking the main entrance I was hoping there would be a thin curtain to give me privacy when changing. However I ended up using the main curtains to avoid any mis haps resulting in the lack on natural light.

The staff was nice and helpful. The bed was great and the sheets and pillows. Location very nice.

The windows on the room and on the restaurant were really badly dirty. This should not have ever happens on a hotel like Mariott of this rather high price. OT was a shame and not nice. Also, there was no way to use the swimming pool. And, apart from BbC world a d Sky there were NO other news international TV channels! That was really not fitting at all such a expensive hotel and should be really taken seriously fixed! Guests have a eight to watch German, US, French and EU international channels.

All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful the room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful large double bed! excellent shower and top-notch complimentary toiletries. Free bottled water too. Pricey but excellent buffet breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant. very relaxing with big screen TV's too. Parking on-site was not cheap but the location of the hotel made it worthwhile rather than searching for another car park and the hotel was very central to the city bars and shops to walk.

A few days after returning home I received a parking charge Fine of £100 from Parking eye.! via the post. Currently in the process now of attempting to have this cancelled but pretty infuriating considering I paid in advance to the hotel for the privilege of parking in the hotel car park. This is hassle I do not need and of course totally unnecessary. This has badly stained our stay and I am left with a bitter taste in my mouth!

The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were pleasant and really friendly, we received an upgrade on our room and it was ready when we arrived at approx 9.45am which was very impressive and a welcome surprise. The location was brilliant, close to the tram and only a mere 20 minute walk to the city centre, with museums close by. Our room was made up each day with towels we used replaced, although we hung them up to dry. We had a bath in our room, this was lovely as we walked a lot during the day so a bath helped my daughter relax. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

The food was very fancy, expensive and there was no children’s menu or portions. We paid a large cost for fish and chips for my 12 year old and really the portion she received was too big for her and presentation wasted on a child of that age. We did ask if we could order toast to the room one evening and the hotel obliged, although it wasn’t on the room service menu. We were very grateful as we only needed a teatime snack however, £6 seemed expensive for 4 slices of toast.

From evening meal to breakfast i cant fault the quality. The staff were brilliant who bantered back at us which showed a great sense of humour considering all the political correctness gone mad that surrounds our society today. I take my hat off to you all.. The room had everything you could want for a short stay. It was clean modern and the bed...well say no more. The sheets were crispy cool cotton and the bed swallowed you up...and i'm a larger man than the average!! Slept like a baby. Awesome. Don't change for anyone and if anyone complains about anything for the price then they are just being petty!

Leaving. I enjoyed it that much i could have stayed longer.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The woman I encountered first seemed a bit stand offish but on the day of leaving the girl was really friendly and helpful. I was charged twice for breakfast when I only paid for one which I also did not get up to eat. The girl on the day of leaving made sure the extra breakfast was taken off my bill and was really helpful. The rooms are fine but the USB charging sockets don't have option for usb-c to usb-c ports which alot of phones can be now and the plug socket was far from bed as my charging lead is not that long but that's just me being picky. The rooms are spacious and the TV is huge which is great. It's a quiet hotel at night time and I did get a good sleep on the bed.

No parking facilities at hotel except a couple spaces, although there is car park place nearby and the hotel give you a code to get a discount

The room was just brilliant. Cosy, nice size, quiet. Ticked all the boxes. The staff were so friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely check for availability of the hotel to stay at next time I'm back in Manchester. The best hotel I've stayed in in Manchester in over 30 years of coming here for gigs & Man Utd matches. A++++++++

Not really hotel related, but I was charged £45 pounds for a 5:30am taxi to the airport. Based on the original journey from arriving in Manchester airport, which was £22, I feel that the £45 was overpriced.

Only one lift as other out of order for maintenance which was meant to have finished 3 weeks ago. Automatic service charge added to bar bills. This is not acceptable in the UK.

Great staff very attentive. We had planned to see a concert at the Opera House and the Marriott is in an ideal location for this. We arrived over Two hours before check in, to see if we could leave our case at the hotel, whilst we explored the city for a few hours. Reception allowed us to check in early which was a great bonus and unexpected. If you're planning on seeing a show at the Opera house, the Marriott is a Five minute walk away so absolutely ideal. Deansgate isn't much further as is Springfields. Lots to see and do close to the hotel. We didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel but we did have breakfast and it was excellent. There was plenty of choice for everyone. All in all, we had a great time in Manchester and the Marriott was superb. Great staff, very clean and lovely rooms. The victoria and Albert is an old cotton mill so has plenty of character. The next time we're in Manchester we will 100% return to the Marriott.
