The staff were lovely ,really kind and nothing was too much trouble. They went the extra mile and were all so pleasant and helpful.I had taken a lady who had difficulties with mobility and the hotel accommodated her in a large room with an en-suite wet room. Lift access and plenty of handrails .The rooms were clean,warm and comfortable. There were a number of solo travellers with whom staff were so friendly and engaging in conversation. Dogs welcomed too ,which was great and careful attention given so that people who had dogs were seated in the lounge for breakfast ,away from others who perhaps may not be dog lovers.

The room was lovely, a few issues with the radiattors, but this was very quickly sorted out and the room was soon toasty warm. They were able to provide a gluten free breakfast for me, however, the evening meal choices for gluten free were a little limited in terms of starters and desserts. The location is perfect, the parking was an issue, as the hotel was extremely busy this week, which led to some creative parking being implemented! The staff, as always are amazing, very friendly and welcoming, always there to offer help or support. Losing wi-fi on the one evening was frustrating, but totally beyond their control. Would like to give a special metion to the amazing dining room staff, especially the gentleman whose name I did not catch. He was particularly supportive and helful in temrs of sourcing gluten free options for me for lunch.

As with many seaside hotels, parking is tough to find. The hotel was fully booked this week, which caused some issues in being able to find a safe place to park without causing problems for others trying to come in and out. The college nearby uses the hotel car park as a means of taxis picking up students, which led to an unfortunate confrontation with a taxi driver who was very rude, arrogant, and unwilling to compromise that I needed to get into that space. I am not sure if they have an agreement with the college or the taxi company, but I cannot imaging the hotel guests being verbally abused by them would be a part of this.

Excellent Dog friendly Hotel. Staff all encountered were friendly and seemed happy in their work. Nice warm room. Great location just on Sea Front. Decent breakfast, with options. Nice little bar area with reasonable prices. Good value for money. Would use again.

Lack of full length mirror in room. Difficulties opening windows and a bit of road noise. Parking spaces were insufficient for number of guests during our stay meaning in the evening we were reluctant to move car because we'd lose the space on our return. That said none of the above seriously detracted from our stay. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

All the staff were brilliant! Paris on reception was amazing very friendly and gave us recommendations for food and an evening out - as our pier Christmas party was cancelled. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very generous! We like breakfast and we struggled to eat everything. Location was exactly where we needed int he middle of the action. Close to shops, sea, pier, restaurants, & bars - something for everyone. Would highly recommend to others. Brilliant value for money.

The only tiny improvement was we had 3 rooms the one room (12) had a shower that wasn’t very powerful. The other 2 were perfect. Other than that brilliant stay.

My room was huge. Beautiful floor to ceiling late windows looking out on to the sea and the promenade. The en-suite was spotless and had a cubicle shower. The room was so warm and the heating on. Very quiet I hardly heard a thing. The curtains are huge and palatial and so cosy after dark when closed

Nothing really. Great value for money. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the restaurant was the same room used for the breakfast. It would have been nice if the lights had been lowered and dimmed to create a little ambience. A few little changes for the evening would have made a real difference.It did feel like you were having your dinner in the servants quarters 😂I had the steak and chips which was quite tasty but there was no sauce like steak sauce or Diane sauce or peppercorn sauce. I really think this should be offered. I think if these couple of things were addressed it would make the perfect stay.

The Lauriston Hotel was perfect .Lovely location central to all the shops bars and restaurants.Opposite the sea 🌊 plus the dog 🐕 friendly beech.. The Superior double room was modern very clean and had a large ensuite bathroom.Plenty of clean towels ,toiletries tea coffee and biscuits. The housekeepers are on top of there game and need a big shout out for the excellent work they do the Lauriston had a great team of people all very friendly professional and ready to assist . Best hotel if you want to take your dog.large garden plus parking in front of hotel.You can eat your meals in the bar area with your dog other residents use the restaurant so no problem for non dog owners. The hotel has a lift to the upper floors the hotel smelt beautiful you would not think it had dogs in the hotel.Again I think this is down to a strong team of housekeepers well done 👍 Breakfast was wonderful a selection of cereals,fruit juices ,crossiants and Danish pastries.. Ham.and cheeses, Fruit salad and yoghurt. Jam ,Honey Nuttella ,marmite & marmalade Full English breakfast with choice of poached scrambled or friend egg,Gluten free option plus vegetarian and vegan. You can order smoked haddock and poached eggs for a small supplement. Boiled eggs and soldiers plenty of toast Lovely coffee and Breakfast tea. We sat in the bar area as we had a dog with us very light and comfortable.The tables laid up waiting for your arrival so catered for including your dog . EXCELLENT. can't wait to return

Very good location, short walk to the pier, shops and pubs. Nice outside space to sit in the sun.

Our room which was quite nice overlooking the front t of the building had a toilet that would not flush properly, we reported it to the front desk to be told that their maintenance team comes from the college next door, and they were unsure if it would get fixed. They gave us the only twin room they had spare which was out the back, small dark and had mould all down the wall. And on the last night the sink clogged up and wouldn’t drain! I wonder what would have happened if they hadn’t got that spare room empty??? They would have had to get the toilet mended in the first room wouldn’t they???

I love this hotel, have been stopping for years. Love the whole experience. The staff are GREAT. Just had a lovely 9 days with them. Special thanks this time to Lucy and Sarah, lovely ladies, so helpful, friendly and great customer service, nothing too much trouble. On my previous trip, 3 weeks ago, excellent service from Jasmine the waitress as I needed to be out early and she went the extra mile to make sure it happened. The breakfasts are great. Rooms nice and clean. I’ve stopped in top hotels with work in the past, but never loved the experience that they give me at the Lauriston. Cannot wait to visit again. A huge thank you to all.

A comfortable, clean room in a quiet spot, yet close to the beach and all amenities. The evening meal and cooked breakfast were both very good. The staff at the desk and in the restaurant were helpful and friendly, and the overall cost of my stay was good value. (Although not relevant for me personally, it's worth noting that the hotel is particularly well set up for the elderly and disabled, with lots of step-free access to most of the buildings and dining room etc).

The public areas, although clean and well organised, are tired and shabby and in need of redecoration. (Unlike my room, which had clearly been redecorated recently).

I have stayed here for years. Love everything about it. Staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic. A big thank you to Lucy on reception for sorting everything out for us and a big thank you to Jasmine the waitress who made a special effort looking after us especially the day we needed an early start. Running a business I would employ these girls instantly as great customer service with a smile. ALL the staff are great including the room cleaning staff. A huge thank you to all. Brilliant 8 day stay.
