The best was the location and very short way to vaporetto stops, the one is in front of hotel. I wanted to be in a center because of my slight walking problems, that's why I have chosen this expensive hotel. The receptionists were very helpfull, room and bathroom were clean and staff kept it clean every day. The furniture was ok, also the size of room was enough for one person. Also the staff in restaurant was excellent.

I paid this very expensive hotel to get in the end a dark room above a kitchen with smell of mould, without any view resp. to see just scaffolding of next house which is being renovated. It is good to stay in a center on the main promenade, but due to more and more tourists coming to Venice happens that when you exit the lobby, you find yourself immediately in the crowd. Next time I will look for accommodation which is also close to vaporetto, with no exxagerated price as Savoia & Jolanda and in more quiet place. I just wonder why Italian hotels evaluate yourself as four stars if the reality is different. The last thing does not refer to the hotel, but I was this year dissappointed by so many walking restrictions in Venice because of road and sidewalks repairs.

The hotel is perfectly situated, very close to St Mark's Square, and easy to access all the other great sites of Venice, fantastic views of the lagoon, vaporetto stop right outside if you need one, and you are spoilt for choice with great restaurants within easy walking distance. But what makes this hotel completely wonderful is the staff. From beginning to end everyone at this hotel just wanted us to have a wonderful time in Venice. Efficiency, willingness to help, 'can do' attitude, warm greetings and nothing too much trouble. The front desk was one of the best I have experienced anywhere in the world; they had all relevant information at their fingertips and have that rare quality of making good suggestions but combined with giving you space to make your own choices. And a special mention needs to be made of all the support staff (porter, restaurant & housekeeping); they were all incredibly attentive and courteous. In short we felt looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Front desk will explain all the public transport options (vaporetto) but the hotel also has its own speedboat which you can hire. For transfer from the airport I would really recommend taking the private transfer option; it may seem expensive but it is worth it. This was our first trip to Venice but we will definitely be returning to Savoia e Jolanda. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location next to the transportation stops and St Mark's square. Hotel was in great shape and had beautiful views. The staff were very nice and helpful. Room was large for Europe standards.

No shower, only a tub. The tub was nice and large but would have been nice to have a standing shower. There was a shower head on the tub but you would have to hold it in your hand to take a standing shower. Being 1.93m tall it was difficult to use.

Great location near lots of the main attractions plus close to the water for access to the water bus/taxis. Large room with comfy bed and additional furniture to sit on at other times of day. We also had a fantastic view from the top floor. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. Very small gym which is fine to just get a bit of a sweat on although you need to be creative with the kit!

We hadn’t realised the mini bar wasn’t free as the pricing list was covered by a magazine in the room but that’s not the end of the world. The breakfast could be a bit better, nothing is very fresh. It is fine and serves a purpose but certainly not of 4 star quality. Some areas of the hotel could do with a bit of TLC as they look a bit tired. There’s also not a bar in the hotel which isn’t the end of the world but it would have been nice.

The location is great--easy to find (which is important in Venice, where it's easy to get lost), easy to reach without having to drag luggage far, almost next door to Doge's Palace and very close to St. Mark's square. In general, the staff was helpful and nice, although one seemed to have an attitude.

My room had no view, although we didn't mind. We had one odd experience: when we arrived, we were told we'd have to pay an additional tax (can't remember what they called it but we weren't previously aware of it) and would have to pay it in cash. That sounded suspicious, and when we checked out, a completely different staff was there and didn't mention or charge such a tax.

We spent four nights at the Savoia and Jolanda in a junior suite overlooking the canal. We enjoyed the view in the morning with our coffee and at night in the moonlight. It's location is walking distance to many attractions and also right at a water shuttle station. The size of the room and the bathroom were great. Breakfast included with our stay and was wonderful. As for the staff, they went out of their way to help us make reservations, share about sites we might want to see, and take care of things we needed. On our three week trip, this was one of the best highlights. I am very picky about where I stay and this hotel exceeded my expectations in every area. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Venice. Staying here definitely enhanced our trip.

Fantastic location and beautiful room. The staff are superb for helpfulness, efficiency, courtesy and friendliness. Mr Hans and the staff at Reception are brilliant and very thoughtful. In the Breakfast Room, Ljubica was amazing! Very hard working and efficient and very welcoming and kind. The staff at dinner were also very friendly and efficient and provided a cake with candles for my birthday! The food was excellent.

The room with an excellent view of the lagoon, the staff, the restaurant all very good. Savoia & Jolanda continues to live up to its high standards which is why we have stayed with them on several occasions.s

Only one thing let it down. The room was provided with a kettle and Lavazza Coffee machine - excellent. However, the place that they were located had no access to a plug socket! the only way they could be used was to place them on the dressing table or the floor. We chose the dressing table, but this meant a technician providing an extension lead for each. This worked but was inconvenient. Why the place designed for the kettle and coffee machine did not have a plug socket is difficult to comprehend. If you left them there, they couldn't be used but could only be looked at like a piece of modern art - after all it is the Biennale! The hotel gave us free meal in compensation which was a good response. I hope they rectify the issue for the benefit of future guests.

Perfect location. Bed comfortable and the room spotless. Breakfast was plentiful and had staff excellent.

View from room was scaffolding and the room overlooked an alley therefore woken in the morning by the workers and their trolleys very early. Carpets were dirty / grubby looking in the corridors and place needs a little bit of care and attention as starting to look shabby around the edges. It would not stop me from staying as the place was spotlessly clean where it mattered.

Location. View from our balcony. Size of room.

Housekeeping drops the ball on details. Don't replace plastic cups in bathroom. Do not restock the coffee pods daily. Coffee maker vibrates to the point the coffee spills all over the place. Need to put a mat under the coffee maker.
