As always, great staff, room size, quality of breakfast. Quiet rooms and excellent air conditioning.

In executive rooms, the coffee tabs are not great, please go back to providing coffee in a mug or cafetiere! Rooms could do with a lick of paint where suitcases etc have damaged walls, it doesn't take long and upholstery in the bar needs stain removal! When an event is on, such as a wedding, parking for hotel guests should have a reserved area, as being told to park on the first floor of the car park and pay when free parking is included is not really acceptable.

Perfect location for a visit to the University of Birmingham. Nice room, everything was very clean and well kept and the staff were very helpful. There was a slight problem with my room and when I mentioned it to reception someone was sent to fix it immediately. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant was also nice.

The attached restaurant was pretty expensive and a little fancy for my tastes, but there's also reasonable food served at the bar. The wifi was also slower than I'd expect from Eduroam, but that's a nitpick at best and it was at least reliable.

We loved every bit of the stay! The staff were really friendly and the bedroom was clean and spacious. We loved the fact that the hotel was not so close to the centre of Birmingham, but not so far, this created a more homely feeling for us to stay at this hotel! I feel like if it was closer, it would’ve been too rowdy for us. Would definitely book here again!!

The price to book for a few hours isn’t the best. We originally wanted to book for a night and a few hours as our flight from Birmingham was on the evening of Monday but it would’ve worked out way more expensive than 2 nights. So we booked 2 nights instead so it made it cheaper for us.

Anybody staying here for the first time will need to realise that it is quite hard to find as amongst some of the Birmingham University buildings. You just have to keep driving to the end of the road. Lovely hotel with free parking and if spaces full (not many spaces) you can park in the multistorey across the road on the ground floor free as reserved for hotel guests. 3 floors and lifts to all floors. Rooms are pretty basic and basic size with nice size en suite. No bath in our room but don't need one anyway. Good shower. Glad I took my own shampoo and conditioner as theirs not great. Tea making with a choice of teas. Iron and ironing board in room and good hairdryer Very clean and modern decor. Comfy bed and air con. Self serve breakfast with good selection. The buffet has fried or scrambled eggs so if you want poached or boiled you need to put in a special request but they are happy to do either for you. We ate at the hotel in the evening. Unfortunately we were staying at the peak of the cold snap and they were supposed to have 5 x staff but there were only 2 and they were busy We chose the restaurant and although not overly busy there was alot of people eating in the bar from the bar menu and they had a group of 35 having a buffet in the restaurant area so they were very busy overall. We had a long wait to be served which understandable due to the staff shortage but the girl that served us was very apologetic and did everything she could for us. Meal was OK and tasty but quite pricey. Next time we stay we will go for the bar menu. The food coming out looked very good. We chose restaurant as we like to eat in a restaurant but the bar area will be fine next time. The bar has last orders around 11pm so not like some other hotels but we stayed at our bar table playing cards until 12 midnight. We did not find it noisy in any way and had a good night's sleep.

We are not massive drinkers but would have liked to have had a bit longer to have had another drink in the bar. I thought 11pm was early for a hotel bar to close. I cannot fault the hotel in any other way.

Bright, Modern hotel with lovely staff. Fantastic breakfast with smart welcoming staff and great selection of food. Excellent bar food, great quality and presentable Clean and bright rooms Most staff are so pleasant and engaging Great location for visiting Cadbury World Loved that it was in the University grounds. So interesting walking around seeing the original buildings. Eco friendly hotel Great selection of tea and coffee in room

First impression on check in wasn't great. The receptionist needs to be more welcoming. Didn't explain procedure for registering car. Only found out by accident by looking at hotel website..Didnt ask if we wanted to charge things to our card so we couldnt charge things to our room. Didn't ask what our plans were for evening dinner and offer to make reservations. Such a shame as it set up a certain impression and rest of hotel staff were so lovely. A smile would go a long way.. Bathroom needs a shelf to put personal items on. Flimsy toilet paper Room could do with more storage space (no deep drawer for clothes storage)

The hotel was stylish and modern with older buildings off the main site that you can stay in too which I didn't know! The staff even kindly upgraded our room which was a nice surprise. The rooms were clean and immaculate and in the building we stayed in each room was named after a famous artist which was cool. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive outside of the city centre but getting an uber that was really cheap. The staff informed us on entry that our room wasn't ready but the lady at the front desk was kind enough to make sure we had our rooms sorted for us as we had places to be which was really kind. The bed was really comfy and the room was a decent size too. The hotel is also right in the heart of the uni campus too.

I didnt appreciate that our rooms weren't even ready past 3pm which is the stated check in time but the lady sorted us out with rooms that were ready.

My partner and I love the Edgbaston Park Hotel. We have stayed there several times. We love the location on the campus of the lovely University of Birmingham, near too to another University facility, the beautiful Winterbourne House, a remarkable historic house and gardens, just a minute or two’s walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is spacious and in lovely landscaped grounds. There is a delightful bar and restaurant, with excellent food and perfect and friendly service. Our room was excellent, comfortable, clean and relaxing.

Nothing. We fulle recommend the Edgbaston Park Hotel for a stay in Birmingham.

I have stayed numerous times at the Edgbaston Park hotel. The rooms, while on the small side, are well appointed, very clean and the shower is the best I have experienced in a hotel. The reservation staff always try to accommodate requests. Breakfast is really nice, with good quality ingredients and free parking on site is really convenient.

My key reasons for not booking more often are the early checkout time (10:00) and the fact this is more of an event space than a hotel. As a hotel guest, I am not guaranteed access to the restaurant for meals outside of breakfast. I have had instances where the restaurant and kitchen were too busy to accommodate me, or there was a 90 minutes wait for food after ordering, or not ability to eat in the restaurant at all.

The location worked well for us to attend the Test Match at Edgbaston. The staff were generally excellent (see comments covering the bar). The room was comfortable with plenty of room.

The bar service was very slow on Friday and Saturday evening. There was a function each evening in an adjacent function room, which seemed to spill over into the bar and staff couldn’t cope. Each evening I had to wait 20 minutes to be served. There were also new members of staff behind the bar who had no guidance or training. No knowledge of where the kitchen was to collect food, unable to operate the till to take food or drinks orders. Unaware of where specific drinks were kept. Minimal knowledge of how to prepare some drinks. This contributed to the very slow service. The new staff couldn’t function without asking for regular guidance and therefore were reluctant to serve. An uncomfortable experience for employees and guests.

What I really liked about Edgbaston Park Hotel was the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The hotel’s beautiful surroundings, with its well-maintained gardens and historic architecture, provided a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The rooms were contemporary and well-equipped, offering all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of. Additionally, its convenient location near the University of Birmingham made it an ideal choice, and the on-site dining was a delightful experience with a variety of delicious options. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay.

So, I bought breakfast at the reception, but it seems my name was stuck in some kind of breakfast black hole. Every day, the lady at the breakfast room looked at me like I was trying to sneak in for free, insisting I wasn’t on the list. The cherry on top? I got billed for the breakfast I’d already paid for! At least the reception was kind enough to apologize for the ‘phantom breakfast bill.’ Who knew breakfast could be such an adventure?
