Overall I would enthusiastically recommend this B&B to friends and family. Inn was charming, quiet. Breakfasts were mostly delicious. Short drive (<10 min) to city center and other sights (even walkable, though we opted to drive in). Really a pleasant experience. We were in the Rendezvous room, which was perfect for a family of three (our 4-year-old child slept on the pull-out loveseat). Room was comfortable. Mini fridge was a nice touch. Note: no standing shower in the bathroom. Staff was helpful when we had wifi issues. Breakfast was a three-course meal (parfait, baked good, hot meal)! Most of the breakfast offerings were delicious.
Sometimes staff weren't immediately available when we had quick questions. Breakfast was mostly delicious, but confusing at times: We weren't clear whether we were able to request anything different from what was offered (eggs benedict one day, french toast another, omelette the third). On one day we were invited to request anything for our child; other days she was given the standard offering. They remembered my dietary restriction two of the days, forgot the third. I would've liked to have a preview/menu of offerings so we can opt into the full multi-course meal or request something smaller—but they made accommodations whenever guests asked. So, just ask!

The breakfast was absolutely to die for. Royal Albert china? Why yes, thank you! The food was plentiful and delicious. Lovely teas, etc. A rainy day kept us in the sitting room with a cozy fire one afternoon-at it was lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Oh my - if you want to spend a night feeling like royalty, this is the place! Have you ever slept in a covered 4-poster bed? I had no idea how high it was! This almost 140-year-old house is spectacular with a grand staircase, and sitting rooms, and the furniture and interior decorations are items from a house of this era. The only modern part of the room is in the washroom which is where the refrigerator is - and should be. It would be an eyesore next to a gorgeous 4-poster bed! Oh and if that isn't enough for you to book this experience right away - the full breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Served in the dining room and included first-course fruit, scones, and a main dish. I could not believe that they even had a full breakfast vegan option! I was able to eat a fresh vegan scone too. This was definitely a 10-star experience!
We loved the grand-staircase - but it's important to know that you do need to climb up stairs to your room.

Beautiful period building with fascinating detail everywhere we looked. Furnished appropriately for the era, with lots of attention to detail. Comfortable bed, spacious room, AMAZING breakfast included. Amy's service was outstanding...polite, helpful, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Conveniently located on an easy bus route to downtown area.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Access could be tricky for those with mobility issues as there are quite steep steps up to the entrance, and again up to rooms. The shower over a deep bath may not suit everyone.

The bedroom was cozy and clean. The breakfast is wonderful, they have 3 meals for the breakfast and the main one usually had more than one option. I loved the shabby victorian decor. I also messed up my booking dates, but the atendent was so helpful and moved us to another bedroom! I have no complains about that! On the ground floor, there's a room you can get tea anytime and you can also check some old newspaper with the house history. Very interesting!
It was a little bit far from the downtown, but we knew it. You can find 2 bus stops near the hotel and is 2.50 usd the ticket /pp. If you plan to visit distant places, it can be worth getting the day pass 5 usd/pp, which you can buy with the driver.

Super charming property and room. Each space will be different, but we found our attic room to be much bigger than expected and the bathroom bigger and nicely renovated. We couldn't hear any of the other guests and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Exceptional location very close to downtown, but within a neighborhood full of historic houses yet still walkable to restaurants, groceries, shopping, etc. The staff was super friendly and charming and the included breakfasts really put a cherry on top of the experience staying here. This is an ideal stay for folks who want the unique intimacies of a B&B, but like to have privacy like a hotel. A fantastic value.
The only negative of the attic room was that the temperatures were fairly warm during our stay - I didn't know Victoria had such nice weather - so the upper floor heated up during the day. Thankfully though, a fan was provided but there is no AC. Not really a complaint, just a tip to keep in mind for folks who are sensitive to warm temps - pick a room on a lower floor if it is going to be hot out.

Stayed 2 nights and breakfasts were exceptional! Delicious, abundant servings on special dinnerware. Eggs Benedict (2 servings) had excellent hollandaise sauce. The French toast served the next morning were covered abundantly with fresh fruit. Both mornings started you off with a generous serving of fresh yogurt topped with fresh berries, mango chunks, granola. Excellent coffee refilled to your heart’s desire. Comfortable and delightful atmosphere beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and stained windows. Relaxing music in the background creates a feeling of peace and comfort. Excellent service! Bed and room were very comfortable! Huge washroom too!
Wouldn’t change a thing!

Our room was huge, windows opened for fresh breezes and allergy filter fan was on in room when arrived on hot day. Breakfast was different every day, very tasty and generous portions. One room concern was dealt with immediately, room has good sized fridge freezer. Room decor kept to Victorian style.
Nothing really. Stronger coffee, but that is my preference. Could use better variety of pillows maybe. None were to my liking but I have a difficult time with pillows. Usually I bring my own but didn’t this time. Not really a problem.

This place is a gem. So glad that Booking.com suggested it to us. Everything about it was just perfect for us. It is impeccably maintained. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and very comfortable, very olde world, with a very surprising spa bath (complete with colored lights). Every nook and cranny in the house was candy floss for my eyes. Beautiful staircase, exquisite stained-glass features, wood-paneling, lovely breakfast room and an amazing sitting room with complimentary tea and coffee. The 3 course set-breakfast was delicious and very stylishly served on Royal Albert China. We felt extremely special and spoilt by the friendly, accommodating staff.

Breakfast was amazing. Great service.
Bathroom and shower. Shower was adapted from an old bathtub with pipes from a mixer in the tub and plastic curtains cut to fit around the pipework. Crude and perhaps OK for a young person but lacking anything to steady an older person. Too many steps (23 from the main hall up to the room). A very helpful young lady helped us check in and carried our bags from the car up to the room.
